Die Deutsche Vereinigung für Wasserwirtschaft, Abwasser und Abfall e. V. (DWA) setzt sich als politisch und wirtschaftlich unabhängiger Fachverband mit rund 14000 Mitgliedern für eine nachhaltige Wasserwirtschaft und für die Förderung von Forschung und Entwicklung auf ihren Arbeitsgebieten ein. Ihre Standbeine sind die Erarbeitung eines technisch-wissenschaftlichen Regelwerks, ein breites Angebot zur beruflichen Bildung, an Tagungen und Kongressen sowie die Organisation von Netzwerken für Fachleute und die Verbreitung fachlicher Informationen. Die DWA bietet so über ihre Hauptgeschäftsstelle in Hennef und sieben Landesverbände ein Forum für Ideen und Meinungsaustausch und unterstützt die Politik durch Ihre Beratung. Mit speziell zugeschnittenen Angeboten unterstützt die DWA junge Fachleute aus der Wasser- und Abwasserwirtschaft bei der Ausbildung und beim Berufseinstieg. Die bereits existierenden Aktivitäten und Angebote werden zukünftig gebündet und weiter ausgebaut. Die Junge-DWA-APP ist die digitale Plattform für den Informationsaustausch innerhalb der jungen DWA.
