5 ★I am watching zdf for years, it connects me with my German upbringing, although I live in New Zealand
1 ★Messy and convoluted UI and slow response. No menu bar at the top. You can tell that functionality has taken a back seat as it is all about visuals. The thumbprints are too large and you have to swipe all the time. Perhaps okay on a tablet but not good enough for a smartphone.
4 ★Love this app! It lets me watch German TV living abroad, great offering. Only downside is that the login functionality doesn't seem to work. (Not sure if logging in improves the user experience though as I've never been able to authenticate :))
4 ★The only thing I absolutely don't like is the blocked, only for Germany, Austria, Switzerland shows. Not so great is that every so often I have to log in new, but at least my favorites stay saved.
4 ★It's a great app for watching German news and shows, except it no longer works with Chromecast, which is too bad. I appreciate the subtitle feature, which for a non-native speaker sometimes is necessary to catch the really fast dialog.
2 ★The app works when a show was found and selected. The user interface is simply bad. But the worst is that I have to restart my Tab 2 after each use or the APP drains the battery within a few hours!
1 ★Disappointed that only there are so many restricted productions which can only be watched at night. Also, some series are not available completely and have episodes missing. I can only find them on their youtube channel, as payable content. Why do i have to pay twice (GEZ & ZDF channel on Youtube)??? Also, since internet access here in Germany is so slow, there should be an option to reduce the streaming quality in order to watch without interruptions, same as the ARD app offers.
5 ★Yes it's working again, 5 stars back. But one thing would be good, if you guys maybe can add a little info icon for shows which are not international available (restricted) ? That would be great. Thank you
3 ★The App it self is ok, but when you Push on Pause, to read something in a Documentary as Example, you can't because the Screen is covered at 30% with Informations on what you watch now
1 ★This APP cuts off the Video signal on a MINIX NEO box - so it is unusable on this device. Also the ZDF NEO live Icon is hidden somewhere. The APP was fine before the last updates but now it is unusable for me.
3 ★Too early to form an opinion. It seems that it is not always possible to select lower resolutions, be it to reduce data volume or to use on slower connections.
4 ★The Mediathek app is a great way to keep up with current affairs etc. However, some programmes/ segments can't be viewed when living abroad.
