3 ★The app was great until recently, I always order carside to go with the app, and choose to pay with cash when I arrive. Suddenly the app no longer gives me the option to pay with cash so I am either forced to add a debit/credit card or not be able to place an order. I even asked the Applebees that I order from in person if they still accept cash for carside to go and they said yes. I hope this is fixed soon because I will either be paying with cash or take my business elsewhere.
2 ★I had to check this app to see if I had the latest version or not. I did, which is disappointing. What other apps for major chains don't give you options for your meals these days?!? Maybe it's asking too much that you be able to order the Blackened Salmon without it being blackened (but the Popeye's app lets me decide that for their chicken strips) but this app doesn't even let me choose green beans instead of brocolli. EVERYONE lets me choose what sides I want with my meal! Except Applebee's.
3 ★Love their wraps(they follow removal requests),mozzarella sticks, dessert, etc. The main 2 reason I will remove 2 stars is that first the app doesn't remember your payments when you change ordering from a different branch. Second is the real reason where in it's delivery section, it only remembers/gives the main address to the 3p driver despite the app having an apartment page to input apmt#/notes which never gets passed on. Twice I almost missed my delivery cause Doordash didn't get apmt#.
2 ★You can place the order in the app, just need to be gentle. Any deviation from the path results in severe penalties as in app crashing and depending on extent of deviation losing your order in the process. Anything from entering a coupon or a credit card will set it off. Just to add insult to injury the app will display a fly by order on progress long after we are done eating.
1 ★I returned 3 years later to this app and saw I left a 1 star review, and nothing has changed. It's still a broken app. I downloaded the app, and it doesn't even allow me to select the Applebee's restaurant in town. It gives me one 45 minutes away when I know the Applebee's in town is still open. Regardless of if I choose pick-up, carside to-go, or delivery.
2 ★I did the delivery option for applebees because I currently dont have a car, but applebees sounds good. The ordering process was easy, but the meal is 20 minutes late past the estimated delivery and it said it was going to take 40min already. I go to the track my order spot and it just says it's on it's way. no way to communicate with the driver, no idea where they are and I made a $60 order. This is the second time I have done this and I Have been left very dissappinted... I love applebees.
1 ★I want to like the app but its buggy. It's been even though there's been updates. Every time i order a order a steak and they ask how i want it cooked along with what sides i want it deletes my choices when i go back to the menu and have to start all over. I just end up ordering off the main website. Much easier and no problems. Such a shame.
5 ★This app is very simple to use, and it DOES give you every option you would have in the restaurant for customizing your order! I love that! 90% of ordering apps and sites do not allow you to customize anything so that was a big ✅ for me. On top of that, every option you would hope to see is present. I like it a lot. Doordash could take some pointers and advice from whoever created this ordering app for Applebee's. 🤣
1 ★After multiple attempts of deleting and redownloading the app, I keep getting different error codes that I don't have an option to fix, and don't allow me to make a mobile purchase. This is the second time I've had to just call and tie up a line for the restaurant just to make an order that could be made on the app without taking time from the employees.
5 ★So far so good with the online mobile ordering. I haven't had a problem don't plan on any issues. I'll update after six months of use. I do use other food and clothing apps and I must say that it's the best thing America could've ever introduced to us. 😁 It makes shopping and ordering very convenient since America has grown over the years of human population.❤️ No more long line waiting 👌🏽
2 ★(Feb 2022, still same issues)This app, as of the fall of 2021, has not been working well for me. I'm constantly needing to restart the app, and my order, over and over. I've used this app several times lately, and each time is the same. I'm especially having issues when it comes to completing the order. I'm told that either I'm outside of the delivery area (which I'm not, we order delivery from there all the time), or it says that the tip is not supported (which seems ridiculous). Frustrating.
1 ★Repeatedly the app does not allow me to place my order (carside to go, pick up inside or delivery) because I do not have a payment method. When I try to add one, it only allows me to add a gift card. I have tried the same process on the website and run into the same problem, that I cannot save a payment method. Shame because we love applebees and is frustrating to order when the process should be simple and easy
