普門品介紹:
觀世音菩薩，於無量劫前，久成佛道，號正法明。但以度生念切，救苦心殷，現無邊身，垂慈六道，度諸眾生。世人凡遇疾病患難者，若能以懇切至誠之心，稱念觀世音菩薩名號，即可隨彼誠意之大小，而得感應。

觀世音菩薩的聖號，不論在中國、日本、韓國各地，無人不知，沒人不曉的，他的慈光，如同一輪皎潔的皓月，高懸夜空，普照大地，護佑著苦難眾生，把那甘露法水，灑至世界每一角落，故有「戶戶阿彌陀，家家觀世音！」的讚語。

觀世音菩薩普門品是妙法蓮華經二十八品中的一品（即第二十五品）本品內容，完全是說明觀世音菩薩的普門利益，因此往往有人把這一品獨立禮誦。世俗有人稱之為觀音經，就是這普門品。「普門品」是簡稱，較為翔實的稱呼應該稱為：「妙法蓮華經觀世音菩薩普門品」。
