2 ★I bought the dimmer switches from Costco. The quality of the product is great but the app makes them lame. Connection with the device was fine but the automation programming has bugs. I have programmed an "on" condition at sunset which works just fine, but I have tried every possible way to program an "off" condition at 10pm and the switch never responds. From previous reviews I have come to the conclusion that the app is simply not on point. I hope Feit fixes the bug soon.
1 ★All of the FEIT smart devices lose connection weekly. The app is basically useless. It doesn't interface well with Google Assistant apparently. Or Google nest Wi-Fi. I have invested I can't say how much money in smart bulbs for every part of the house and they only work sometimes via Google Assistant. They frequently disappear from the FEIT electric app, or show as offline when they aren't. My frustration level is unbelievable. Basically I have to use switches to control my smart bulbs. Fix it.
3 ★(04/13/2021) addressed the issue and has restored the groups page 🙏. What keeps from 4 stars is having to retry multiple long presses to enter any group's page. (04/10/2021) removed the only way I was using the app for. My use case is, create a group for all bulbs in my room, and tap the group to turn it on or off. As of the latest update, the groups page no longer exists, and I cannot turn on all bulbs on or off at the same time, or even have a straightforward way to manage groups.
2 ★Your product is trash. I spent 90 dollars on light bulbs that can't even illuminate a room when on any setting other than the color white. And now the "groups" option is just gone???! That was the one convenient part of the app and no it's been removed or hidden to the point that it is near impossible to access. I regret spending money on this product because of this app.
3 ★It took about an hour to set up...🙄. A constant WiFi connection at home is mandatory. After it was connected though it worked worked as described. It has glitches though... 1. And one second delay from any action. 2. If an effect is going and anything else happens in the network, it cancels the effect. 3. If the Wifi gets disconnected for a period longer than 10 minutes, it goes into "Bright White Strobe". ⚠️ Warnming ⚠️ 4. For some reason, yellow is one of the dimmest colors. 😂
1 ★This has to be one of the goofiest light apps I've ever used. The UI is pretty bad. I have one light bulb installed, the app seems locked up, it won't adjust color or timing. Tried to delete the settings, can't do that now either. Improve the UI. It'd be easier to just buy a dim colored led bulb, flick it on when necessary. Only thing that would make this app worse would be pop-up ads.
2 ★I'm remotely trying to access the footage from my SD card. It gives me options for dates but when I click the dates, it states no playback available. I can see that it's filling up the SD card. When are you going to update the app again to address this? Also, my mechanical chime isn't working with the chime kit included with the doorbell. It is set to mechanical in the app. How do i get a replacement chime kit?
1 ★With the latest update, Feit removed the "groups" functionality. You can no longer control devices simultaneously, such as room lights. My bedroom has three light bulbs and now in order to turn them on/off it must be done individually within the app. I suppose I will be re-pairing all my lights with the Smart Life app, as its functionality is far superior.
1 ★Garbage. DO NOT BUY! Worked when I first got them, upgraded to a new router, and despite resetting the router, verifying the 2.4 ghz network name and password, and following 100% of the troubleshooting and setup instruction, deleting and reinstalling the app, restarting my phone, resetting the bulbs, etc etc etc - They refuse to connect. Literally 4 feet form the router that is cranking out pristine, crisp 2.4 ghz internet for my entire 2200 sq ft home, it can't connect to my phone or the network or anything else. DO NOT BUY!!!!
4 ★EDIT: Groups are back. App still is unresponsive at times and automation is difficult to figure out. Otherwise good app. Old: This app was already on thin ice as it's often unresponsive and buggy. However it mostly worked ... UNTIL they decided to remove the "Groups" function. I've never seen an app remove its most useful function. Now it's a major pain to try to turn on or off the house lights. Bring back Groups ASAP!!
4 ★Light Strip is not too bad. Works if you READ the directions. Put wi-fi in 2.4Ghz mode 1st and FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. Remember, after you add device, you have to press the device in the app for 2secs to get into device settings. Update 6-18-2021. I found assigning static IP provides less headache dealing with return of power and wifi following outages and router restarts. Haven't had issue after that.
2 ★I too lost the groups settings and upon uninstalling the app, restarting the phone, and reinstalling the app, groups came back. Now, my problem is having to constantly manually turn the schedule back on. If its set to do something at the same time every day, then why does that not happen? I continually have to go back in and check the box. Makes no sense 😕
