1 ★Lyric is so hard to set up. A year ago it took me days to configure it due to several bugs. After a power outage it lost all its settings and I haven't been successful in getting it through set up for weeks now. I can't handle this going into a hot summer. Others have had the same problems yet the problem persists a year later. Honeywell doesn't care about its customers. Update: Today I finally got it to complete set-up. "Cooler" blows now but it's warm. Worthless! It's freaking hot in here! Mad
1 ★Works great! On the rare occasion that it works. I have spent hours in total having to struggle through re-adding our thermostats after they periodically drop off the app. Literally 90% of the time the app says it can't connect to the Honeywell servers. I frequently make updates to my thermostat settings and later find that they didn't go through, or that they did but halfway (instead of setting heat to cool at 68 it just sets heat to 68 for example). This app is inexcusably bad.
1 ★I lost Google Home integration a few months ago and for the past few weeks the app takes ages to launch before a dialog box tells me the service is unavailable. I have installed and now manage over a dozen units various locations since 2014. I work in IT. I'm familiar with the Honeywell thermostat portion of their ecosystem as well as account management. I have sung Honeywell's praises for years and years but the reliability of their products over the past year has me considering other brands.
2 ★Problem with the app displaying outside temperature in Fahrenheit instead of Celsius, I am in Canada. Tried calling the number you sent me, but long wait, so I gave up!!! Also, my thermostat kept changing from grouped days to individual days while the app is still in grouped days. Ended up having to reprogram the schedule all the time. It would be nice if there is a way to save schedules (need a few saved schedules), then it would be easy to just upload a schedule...
4 ★there is no way to change the temperature display from Fahrenheit to Celsius. It could benefit from a few additional functions, like for example a time history of the heating times, as a graph, for the past day or week or month. Also, a dark mode would help too, too much white background with only a few letters or numbers here and there
3 ★The Honeywell thermostat and app work flawless. But I do think the app needs some extra functionality. The minimum range for geofencing is 500m. This is way too high when you live in a city. It would be very nice if geofencing and a schedule could be combined, so that geofencing overrules the normal schedule when you're away from home. Another thing is that when switching from a created schedule to geofencing and back resets the previously created schedule.
1 ★Update 3/2021 Now disconnects from wifi everyday 11/19 Worked great for about a month. Month2 it would occasionally say "no connection" so I would restart the app and it would work. Month 3 Now everytime I open the app it says "no connection". False,my internet is fine, all my other apps that use wifi work fine. I uninstall and reinstalled the app. Now when i get to the log in page and enter my info (it is the correct info!!) The screen simply flashes and takes my back to the blank log in page.
1 ★Was working great, but lately, cannot connect via android phone or apple phone/ipad to the T6 thermostat. Reset/uninstalled/rebooted wifi, all to no avail. Really disappointing lately. Very annoyed as cannot turn heating on/off remotely like its supposed to be used for!!!
5 ★Updated...was 1 star now 5 star. Originally I could not get the Thermostat to register. Tried everything and everyone kept telling me I was doing it wrong. Turns out it was a new Thermostat that some demonstrated to a different owner how to do it and it was previously registered during that demo. When it was installed in my house, I could not register it again. Luckily I had an AC contractor that recognized that as was able to go onto Honeywell web as a contractor and reset it. Love it now!!!
1 ★This has gone down as one of those things I wish I hadn't bought, although the thermostat itself seems to fine, the app is pretty hopeless and just not up to the job. It never works well, and forever telling me Honeywell has lost connection from the WiFi router. As an app on my phone, it is absolutely rubbish and 1 star is being generous. I can change the temperature manually which what I have to do. Wish I had bought something better in hindsight and has put me off Honeywell products for good.
3 ★Awesome convenience but app is sub-par. It was difficult to set up and create and account. Once that was finally done it seemed work smoothly for a few months. Then all of a sudden the app kept saying my thermostat was offline. After a ton of troubleshooting (uninstall, reinstall of app, reseting wifi connection both for the home and thermostat) the app still says my thermostat is offline and I haven't been able to use it since.
1 ★App won't connect, I thought it was my phone so I used my wife phone and it says the same thing. I am looking at the thermostat and it's showing the temperature and local temperature so it's connected to the wifi. The app itself isn't working or communicating which is the whole reason I purchased this thermostat.. will this be fixed?
