A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

2 ★The app pretty much only works for opening and closing the garage door opener. The open/close sensor does not indicate whether the garage is open or closed, you cannot set the light for any time limit in the app, it will not save the setting, nor will it save any height presets. The connection to the camera module specifically does not save any setting either, or allow you to use the record audio function.
1 ★It used to work great. Had no issues about a year ago. I got everything hooked up. Received the new hub that you have to have with it now in order for it to read up or down and logs. It works opening and closing but it does not show it. It doesn't give me any information. Just says door closed. With all the money Ryobi makes, you'd think their app would be flawless! Please fix. So annoying. 😠
1 ★The app doesn't do nearly what it's advertised to do. First, it should be easy to connect your garage door opener but that's far from the truth. It also should tell you whether door is open or not and it doesn't do that eather. I follow the step by step instructions and they don't help, though they had potential. This app needs a lot of work. Also if it fails halfway through connecting your garage door, relay, & door sensor, you have to start the entire process over after deleting everything.
1 ★UPDATE 7-Aug-2020: It's been this way for a while, but I just realized it when I randomly got a notification for motion detection for the first time ever; I've not been getting notifications when the door opens or closes, despite having the setting turned on to do so. The app in general was very difficult to get set up. The opener itself works well when it works, but they decided to get fancy with a wireless keypad for the in-garage control, and it SUCKS. Constantly have to press at least 2x.
1 ★Awful - STAY AWAY! Everything works, then it doesn't. A garage door opener needs to be reliable and this is the farthest thing from it. Impossible to reconnect and VERY finicky. Customer service is unresponsive and will not pick up the phone. It's no wonder this app scores under 2. The app developers should be embarrassed and I wish I never bought this POS and will be getting away from Ryobi and it's entire collection ASAP all because of this experience.
1 ★App is complete garbage. I can sometimes open and close the door. Sometimes. Most times the app won't initiate and after driving a mile down the road it opens. I press the close door button. Is it closed? Who knows, because it always says it's closed. I'm in the open garage right now and it says closed. Activity log is always empty. These clowns should be ashamed. (*UPDATE 03/22/20 All of a sudden I'm getting incorrect email updates in the last day that the door is opening and closing!)
1 ★Update July 21 2019. This app is still junk. the only thing that works if the open/close buttons, and you have to be on the same WiFi as the GDO. Nothing else works. notifications don't work. viewing the accessory camera doesn't work. The garage door opener works fine using the connected button, but the app is nearly useless ( which kind of defeats the purpose). It will activate the door, but there is no way to know if the door changed position , as the always reports the door closed.
4 ★When it's working it works well. I like being able to control all the GDO add-ons in the app. I did discover (after months of trial and effort) that the internal router on the GDO system is very weak. I ended up installing an old router inside my garage and used it as a Wi-Fi repeater. This seems to have solved all of my problems. So far, after about one month with the Wi-Fi repeater, I have had no faults or failures of the app.
1 ★I don't know what's going on right now, but all the commands executed hours later today, and notifications do not work. This is really significant issue, i tried to open garage door using the app it didn't work, so i used remote. An hour later app command came in , and opener re-opened the door, luckily i was at home, but what if next time i'm not going to be at home ?? Upd: I don't know what it was yesterday, but now fixed. Upd2: It was fixed, broken again and fixed again within several hours. Upd3: Same thing, doesn't work anymore.
1 ★Doesn't show if your door is up, always says closed on the app. The preset button doesn't work, but the door will go up and down and the light will go on and off. That's about it. Terrible programming on this app. You would think Ryobi and Home Depot would want this to work properly so they don't look sad with a non-functional app. Also, the Ryobi garage door opener is the slowest opener I've ever used before, and no way to adjust the speed of the up/down function. If I wasn't selling my house soon and didn't mind spending another 2 hours to put another unit in, I'd return all this garbage to Home Depot, drive to Lowe's or somewhere else and buy a unit from them... JUNK.
3 ★Stopped working since a few days ago. Gets stuck and doesn't do anything when opened. Had to reinstall to fix. Also randomly signs me out every once in awhile. Would be great if you can offer an API (preferably accessible on the local network) we can use to check the status and control the garage door. That way the smart home functionality is not affected by outages or potential lack of future support.
1 ★The program is slow to respond and appears to hang in the "Negotiating" status during the Wi-Fi setup. After giving up in the configuration process, I did see the opener when I returned to the app. The I was able to open the garage door from the app, but I could not get the garage door to respond in any way to close the door. I had to unplug the door and redo the whole travel distance setup.
