1 ★Useless, horrible app. Want to change seats (or even see your seat assignment)? Gotta check in first! Oh, flying a partner airline (but with a United code share flight number)... Can't check in via the app. Checked in at airport and now wanting to change/view seats? Can't do that because it doesn't recognize you've checked in, despite the fact United is sending you bag and flight status texts! If the goal of this app is to drive customers mad, well done... 5 stars! 0 stars, otherwise!
1 ★The constantly changing this app has grown very annoying for 1k. Now I have a notification that will not go away at top of screen...it won't allow me to clear ..again very annoying. Now beeping and waking me up to tell me I have 42 min left on flight..come on United...notifications should only be for changes, delays and boarding fix this annoying notification..this is not an enhancement!
1 ★I am using the app right now. It is not accurate in terms of updating. I was running to get to the gate as it said it would be closing right when I would be walking up however when I arrived it was cleat the flight had been delayed by 30minutes. I do not see the point of having an app that does not sync with the changes that are being posted at the gate particularly at the time that I need it.
5 ★Honestly, I'm astonished. I've never been a fan of UA for the past 20 years I've flown with them, but this app is phenomenal. It's modern, efficient, comprehensive and very, very helpful. It's detailed and capable. Being able to very easily pre scan your boarding pass and using the app's destination country travel checklist, it can automatically look up your compliance so you know that all of your documents are in order. I can't squeeze in just how much this app can do in under 500 charact
2 ★Multiple boarding passes creates havoc. Flew with a couple other people on my record locator... every time I'd unlock my phone my boarding pass would change to the first pass while I'm the 3rd pass in the list. Scanned the wrong boarding pass not once but twice and also ended up in my buddy's seat because of the utter stupidity of this system. Fix this for everyone's sake, please.
5 ★Does everything you'd expect it to. Plus, checking in is easier than expected, as it knows your confirmation number (I hate looking those up). And if you ever get a flight canceled, using this app to re-book is faster, easier, and better in everyway possible than calling United or your booking company. I whole-heartedly give this app a 5-star review!
1 ★I have a Samsung S8 phone. When requesting the update, the app gives me a spinning wheel but doesn't do anything. (Hours) During this time the phone becomes useless due to the screen being nonresponsive. I had to Uninstall it in order to break out. Later I'll reinstall which should be the latest version. Long way around though.
1 ★Android devices periodically unsupported for in-flight media. This is by far the biggest issue. App can be slow to refresh boarding passes and trip details. If you have multiple people's boarding passes the app randomly refreshes while open and defaults to the first in it's ordering, with no way to reorder them or maintain focus on a single pass.
1 ★As you would expect, United couldn't possibly care any less for customer satisfaction, let alone a decent app. When they cancel your flight for who knows how many times, good luck getting a boarding pass or finding any help. Help does not work in the app and neither does United customer service (it's even laughable to put the words United Airlines and customer service in the same sentence).
1 ★This is the worst app I've ever had the displeasure of using. It won't accept my password, but attempting to reset your password just takes you to a login page in the app. Once I managed to reset my password by uninstalling my app and using a browser to do it, I reinstalled the app and it STILL said my password was wrong. It's a nightmare, and it's been like this both times I've had to fly United. The list goes on of all the small things that are just programmed wrongly or lazily
1 ★Install app. It refuses to accept my credentials, even though they work on the website. Reset creds - still doesn't work. Kill app and restart it, now they work. Check boarding pass for the flight I just confirmed 10 minutes ago - not there. Nor are my other two upcoming flights. But all three are on the website. Also doesn't show saved credit card. Does show me the flight I never booked from a month ago, yay thanks. tl;dr, worse than useless, actually misleading.
3 ★Okay app for getting your boarding pass but buggy. When I attempt to scan my permanent residency card, the app takes me to the camera screen to retake after I submit, after which no submit button appears. After multiple retakes, the app freezes. I was able to complete the process via the website instead but I will guess the app lacks certain verification failure handling.
