1 ★Would receive 5 as it has great features including delayed send unavailable in stock app. Ads are unintrusive. However, app stopped working in past week (failed send errors on wifi and cellular data). Excluded from memory cleaning apps as recommended, reinstalled etc. to no avail. Will have to return to stock unfortunately. Update issue perhaps? Galaxy S10, AT&T.
1 ★I've been loving this app until recently. I don't receive messages in the most important family group chat. All of my messages/pics fail trying to send. So frustrating! However, it works with individual chats - most of the time. I'm thinking I need to switch to a different texting app but I really loved this one!
4 ★Hello I enjoy the app and feel it is one of the best out here. However, I would love to see the simple features of being able to: 1. Set the back ground image to an image of my own choosing like you can on Android phone's home screen or lock screen. 2. Allow you to like someone's text in a group chat. 3. 5 ★I've been using Textra for at least 2 or 3 years and like it very much. It offers a multiplicity of features that make texting easy and they are constantly working to improve it. They also, when you have a question or problem can be reached via email under the Help section and respond promptly. I highly recommend it. Unlike apps like What's App or some of the other texting apps, they are not mining your data.
1 ★Why does it keep screwing with my WiFi??? It's not even included in the available permissions, but if you look deeper it connects and disconnects from WiFi and views your WiFi connection. I have woken up several morning having my wi-fi been turned on by Textra when I don't even use my WiFi at all!! I don't appreciate your sneakyness.
5 ★I highly recommend Textra! Been using it for nearly 5 years. On my old Galaxy Note 4, the Samsung messages app began to fail me. Had issues sending texts, and it was time consuming to scroll to find very old messages. Found this app and haven't looked back. Very customizable: You can change the colors of the app, text bubbles, & app icon. Other cool features: You can easily search for old texts, schedule messages to be sent at certain times, & send voice recorded messages. This app is worth it!
2 ★This app was working just fine but since the update on 5/2/21 it's been pure garbage. I can't forward a link from one person to another without the app either freezing or shutting down unexpectedly. Whatever you think you've fixed bravo to you but in the process, you've made a good app into a useless virtual paperweight.
3 ★Purchased the pro version of this year's ago as I loved the app so much. As others have stated, recent upgrades have either lost features or made things harder to do. My biggest issue is that when I send SMS messages to groups of people, not everyone gets the message, especially if there is an image attached. I thought it may be Android/Apple related, however, 1 person with an iPhone will get the message and 1 won't. They may then get 2 messages if I resend it again or they get the message later
3 ★Been using this app Pro version for years and loved it although I would like to see a one for one options equal to the Google messaging like PC messages link etc. My new phone with Android 11 will not pick up all the messages I restored in Textra. If I run the Google messages app I see all 700 messages. If I use the textra app I see 30. Please explain?
5 ★Got this the other day and love the features and ease of use , the one thing I'd suggest so far is give the choice of longer than 2 minute reminders , maybe 2-5 and 10 mins, I think standard android is 5 , I find it going off every 2 minutes gets a bit annoying if you cant get to your phone but can hear it , other than that I'll be purchasing for sure after a few more days of testing :) ** UPDATE after a year , had problems with notification badges not showing up on Textra after installing Nova Launcher , got in touch with help desk , they were great , all emails answered very quickly and got it working , still VERY happy with this app :D
1 ★Loved loved loved this app.... Not sure what happened but unable to send messages and having to tap to retry. Texting is essential to my work and I need to be able to rely on sending and receiving. I know it's not my service cause I can switch apps and it works.
5 ★I love this texting app I have been using it for about 6 months now and it is fast stable and fully customisable. I love it! June 2021 update: This app is still terrific in every way. Never disappoints! They do quality and feature updates that just sort themselves out, no problems. Thank you Textra!
