5 ★Very useful app. Easy to use and love the feature where hosts and guests are able to upload photos and text within the app which is a secure way of documenting all transactions. It even provides a template on photos that needed to be uploaded upon final checkout walk through. Eventhough it takes some time, it benefits all parties. I'd recommend it for those who want to save money from conventional car renting
5 ★very clean, car was there as she said it would be. Passenger side TV was not working (owner said she was not aware of that issue) , but hopefully they got that fixed because the two kids argued about who got to sit on that side. When I asked a question, she got right back to me. side note* If the mirrors are flipped in, there is not a switch to flip them out. Lesson learned... 20 minutes later 😆 Overall, the vehicle is in good shape!
3 ★The idea is great, but the app has some major flaws. The most frustrating is that you can't message a car owner unless you have booked their car. Additionally, when you have one car booked, you can't even see prices for other cars using the same date range. This means that every time I booked a car to ask the owner a question, I had to entirely stop researching other cars. That whole process is just not convenient for me or the owners!
4 ★I love renting through Turo I will never rent a car from anywhere else but Turo. Prices are reasonable and you even have the option of having the car dropped off to you for an extra fee. The only thing I don't like is you have to reserve a car like 2-3 days before you plan to use it, not hours before or the day before which stinks. Also there is a trip fee on top of the rental fee that can be a bit expensive in my opinion. Overall it's a great company and I love using the Turo app.
5 ★100% Amazing! Antonio went above and beyond getting me into this rental! I had trouble with the app accepting my cell phone number, making it impossible to move forward with the renting process. Instead of saying, "Oh well, that's my problem," and just letting the next person rent the car, he worked on issue with customer service for 3 days until issue was resolved and I had rental secured. Having Antonio's number to contact him personally was also EXTREMELY helpful and comforting. I have nev
4 ★So this was my first time using the app to rent a car. It was a pretty seamless process and the only issue I have was upon return but I think the issue was me versus the actual direction. Quick sample pick up even with the extra fees. It was still less than a traditional rental. I would definitely do this again for a short-term trip.
1 ★When it's great it's really great. However when it gets bad it's terrible. My car was wrecked by a guest. Everything went seamless, but it took nearly 2 months to get my car back on the app (not turos fault that's just the way it was). Got my car back on the app and was back to things being great. A guest wrecked my car AGAIN. This time I was on the 60% plan. I was paid $25 for loss of income because there were no rentals for the two months prior. Car is now repossessed due to loss of income.
5 ★It was an easy, quick, pleasant, and accommodating experience. A lot to choose from and at better rates and accomodations than the major companies. Upfront with costs too. The Tesla I rented was a great experience and much easier and faster to charge (FOR FREE) than I thought. Never thought about renting a car to see if I really wanted to buy one. Rental runs far cheaper if you take that into account too. Would love to rent again!
1 ★The android app is absolutely broken. I'm 0-2 on trips using turo go. The unlock button never works. I'm forced to call in and have a customer service ask me the same 7 questions if I know how to use the app then they remote unlock. Please fix the android app or else you offer a worse service than you advertised. This is super frustrating. At least you have good host who are helpful.
3 ★The app is fine, the service is not. I think that Turo really should have rules for host cancelations. I rented a vehicle that was new and sleek. The host changed the vehicle on me at the last minute. The replacement was old and beat up but the same price. If I had enough time, I could have rented a better car from Enterprise. I will not recommend Turo to anyone.
4 ★Great app in many ways - convenient, mostly intuitive. Frustrating, though, when connection to the app keeps dropping during check out / check-in even with full data signal. Tends to happen while trying to upload photos of the vehicle so it's not always clear how far you got when the connection dropped.
1 ★Terrible. I couldn't use my prepaid cards. I go open a bank account to bypass to rent a car and purchase a gift card. I can't use the gift card however because turo won't allow me to rent because I arbitrarily dont meet the requirements. Now I have no refundable gift card that cannot be used. This app is terrible. My friend used it before and loved it but since they've changed features and added extra fees, this app is horrible. I don't recommend.
