4 ★The developers need to automatically trim leading and trailing spaces before submission / comparison. In Android, if you select a previously entered item (name, e-mail address, etc.) it generally adds a trailing space. Android assumes you are typing something, not filling out a form. The app comparison fails (or in the case of an e-mail address gives an error "invalid e-mail address"). Finding an existing reservation / confirmation number takes WAY too long. Spnning, spinning, spinning.......
5 ★It is very useful and better than using those other sites that look for cheaper hotels that could be any given hotel. I'm an IHG member and i love the fact that I'm able to look up hotels in a wide range that is under the IHG brand. Also being able to find activites to do at the destination is another cool thing and being able to get points from that as well. The app is very user friendly and perfect for everyone.
1 ★Used to love this app, but it logged me out (during an update?) and now I can't log back in, making the app 100% USELESS! I completely uninstalled and reinstalled the app twice with the same result. I can login to my account on the IHG website using the exact same login credentials that I use on the app, so that tells me it's not an issue with my account. Unacceptable, IHG. EDIT: Discovered I can only log into and use the app using the cellular network, not my secure WiFi home network.
1 ★It's never worked. I signed up through the app, and can't login. Every time I try and reset the password, the link is always "expired". Customer service does nothing but sends me a "new" password reset link that has also already expired. It's crazy that the simplest function of a login service is this scuffed, IHG needs to get rid of whatever company they hired to run this before they lose more customers.
3 ★When it works, I can do what I need. But I have had issues where I would open the app, a d it would shut down unceremoniously. Now, I need to update. But I click on the button, and all I can do open the app again. So I uninstalled and reinstalled. Same problem. I'm not sure they ever do any pre-release testing for Android, and only fix things after the fact.
2 ★I've used this to book several hotels lately, but I cannot recommend it because they have billing issues. It won't show many of my past bookings or allow me to request a refund when the hotel manager told me I'd get a refund and didn't. Their billing system is outdated and doesn't work well, leading to all sorts of hassles for me as a customer.
2 ★For the last month the app gives me an error when trying to make reservations. I Uninstaller and reinstalled new updated app. Still can't make a reservation. I lost points over the holidays. Called a real person at IHG and that was not helpful. Now I see a message on the app that says you've worked out some bugs. Maybe so but not my bugs. I cannot reserve through the app. For years this has been a great app. Please fix it soon. Thank you
1 ★Not able to sign into the app. Prompts me to reset the password. After doing so, it still will not allow me to sign in through the app. I'm able to sign in on my computer using various web browsers, as well as my iPad, but not through the smartphone app. I noticed several other users have sighted the same issue.
1 ★I've been a member since 2007 and constantly have issues with this app. Currently the app does not recognize my email address, the same email adress that I receive all correspondence from the IHG properties I stay at. Now I'm attempting to reset my password but it has to go through my email that the app is not recognizing. NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!!
1 ★In short, I'm no longer staying at IHG properties because this app sucks. Echoing what the others have said, the app is not good and customer service also is not, whoever I talked to I couldn't hear. I currently can't login and the reset my password link also doesn't work. I spend about 300 nights per year in a hotel and already use a competitor for 90% of those stays as their app is painless along with being able to check in and out and even pick my room along with getting a digital key.
5 ★Very easy to navigate and probably the hotel app I use most. Compared to other programs, you get much better value out of the rewards points you earn, better perks each stay and I moved up to platinum level membership much faster with IHG than with my other hotel rewards accounts. I primarily use IHG to book at Staybridge Suites and Holiday Inn Express which are great, but they also have a number of really nice and unique 4+ Star hotels in/around the downtown area of several cities
5 ★This is my go to app for any traveling destination. I always check it first before comparing and ultimately end up back with IHG. The app allows me to make changes if I need to, set room and bed preferences, and even set up transfers if i need them. It is the perfect travel app. Hands down this app beats the others. Thanks IHG!
