Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Well, I gave it my best shot. Installed google pay and set up a credit card with that, then installed hop fastpass and tried to buy a virtual card. I was asked for a "backup password" and wasn't sure which backup password the app requires. I tried the Hop account password, my google account password, the google account pin I set up and the hop fast pass pin that I set up. No joy. I guess, I'm going to have to go to a store and buy a piece of plastic and use that instead. Nice!
1 ★BROKE AFTER ONE DAY. I got the app to "tap" exactly once for a 2.5 hour ride, and then it did not work again. One bus driver said to try uninstalling and reinstalling the app, which did not work. I tried adding more money to the card in case that would reset it, which did not work. Signing in and out doesn't work. It just shows the first ticket over and over with a black scanner code, which apparently happens with certain phones (i have a google pixel) and there is no solution. Fun!!
1 ★I last reviewed this app in 2019. It still does not work on my LG phone.
1 ★The app in theory should work but it all of sudden doesn't work now and I just reloaded my card too. Now I have to got to hop building and get help. Its embarrassing when it wont accept payment on a bus trip. Since I work downtown this is the easiest way to get around. I really hope they work out because this honestly just the biggest waste of time and effort I've seen for a bus pass.
1 ★First it started always pulling from Google Pay instead of my uploaded balance. Now it wont work at all when i try to scan it. Relying on the good will of drivers to get home from work because of a buggy app...
1 ★I thought this was cool that I didn't have to carry my card around anymore. I inputted my card information into the app and then tapped it on the card reader. Everything was great until it charged my credit card on Google pay and not my unlimited TriMet pass. I can't figure out how to get it to stop doing that. So I basically loose money everytime I use this app.
1 ★One star for the one time this app worked on a bus before never working again. Even brought my phone to the Tri-Met office where a helpful employee looked at my settings and confirmed I should be good to go. But except for that first time it simply hasn't worked since, no matter how I tapped it or pressed it to the reader, even with the phone unlocked and app onscreen. Bonus fun: Trying all this with a driver staring silently at you and people waiting to get on. Glad I brought $ just in case.
1 ★This app doesn't allow me to buy a card. I use to ride the bus everyday with fare but ever since they updated it with an app to purchase pass and the app doesn't even work, I haven't taken the bus in months.
3 ★i love the idea of this app for trimet but the developers need to work on a few things. it often takes a VERY long time for my card to a can. and when youre getting on the bus and the driver and all the riders behind you are getting annoyed, its stressful. sometimes i never get it to scan and end up not paying allor needing to pay in cash.
2 ★I really dislike that you have to use Google pay. I don't have it set up, and don't want to set it up just to use this app, so I guess I'll be buying the physical Hop card, rather than buying tickets as I needed them like I used to. It also wasn't clear to me in the app how the whole Hop pass works, and had to ask my roommate for more details (he rides daily). I liked the Trimet Tickets app much more.
1 ★First off - the app only works with Google Pay. So if you use Samsung Pay, you are SoL. Second, there are no instructions on how to use the app. Do you load the card or pay via the wallet and NFC? I put $10 on my "pass" but some how that's not the same thing as a "ticket"? And I try to use one of the terminals, instead of using my $10, to buys another ticket. I have no idea where that ticket got stored but, I was charged $2.50 for something. This app is a joke.
1 ★Has maximum balance of $250 and doesnt allow multiple cards. App force's you to use Google Pay which forces you to have a lock on your device. Its convoluted, annoying, and requires multiple applications to function in addition to NFC permissions. The least that could be done for the virtual card is to allow you to expand a pass from the app itself. Rating does not go below 1 star unfortunately. Has $3 fee for virtual card as well which is absurd. They need to bring back the previous app.
