한국의 대부분의 20 - 30평대 아파트의 공간은 기본적으로 방이 2-3개, 화장실 1-2개, 거실 등 옵션이 다양하고 그 경계가 명확히 나누어져있어 공간의 흐름이 단절되어 있고 이 모든 공간들이 목적에 맞게 활용되지는 못한다.
이 집의 공간은 크게 2개의 공간으로 분리 된다. 사적인 공간(침실)과 공적인 공간(거실).
이 두 공간 사이에 소통이 가능한 서비스 공간들(드레스룸, 화장실, 다용도실, 중정)이 자리 잡으면서 공간은 정리되고 그 역할이 확실해진다. 두 부부의 생활 동선은 자연스럽게 이 집의 모든 공간들을 사용하고 활용할 수 있게 되는 구조다.
