2 ★The app takes forever to load, if it even loads at all, and that's only the most pressing issue. The scheduling function is disappointing, the map is confusing and continually deletes my edits, and the robot commands take forever to reach the robot. Admittedly I'm frustrated while writing this, but I've BEEN frustrated and disappointed with this since downloading it. I just expected an app pairing with robots that reach thousands of dollars to be better.
5 ★Three days in, and so far, so good. I went through 3 IRobot Roombas in 2 months. When they worked, it was amazing, but they rarely did, so I returned them. The Shark robot (Maurice) is working great. There are no bells and whistles, but maybe that's why it actually works. There's no mapping, no programming rooms, and you can only set him up to vacuum once a day. He can be sent out upon need throughout the day, however. Great experience thus far.
3 ★This app needs a more input for the robot. It needs a dock mode within the app and a robot controller within the app to control it when it gets stuck. It also needs a parameter mode that way it can clean all along the base boards within the house. If it had those things it would be a lot better...
2 ★I love the vacuum, and have had it for two years now. My frustration is with the app, I constantly have to rename the rooms because it wipes it all out randomly at least once a month. In the moment you need to send it to a room to clean and the app all the sudden is cleared with no memory of your home. Additionally when it does have the map working, and you select a room to clean, many times it'll just clean the whole house and ignore the command.
3 ★Very basic for a high end robot vacuum. Can't configure schedule for more than one timeslot per day. Also can't configure settings to use when running on the schedule (cleaning power just reverts to default). Mapping takes a few days and in that time can't control anything about where vacuum goes which makes first few days of ownership frustrating instead of exciting. Mapping also doesn't allow for virtual barriers. Map also continually loses rooms. So vacuum is good. App is pretty bad.
4 ★Does everything is supposed to, intuitive interface. One floor, one location, but it saves quite a bit of time after mapping. Some improvements I would like to see: Ability to map multiple floors. Hide room labels when viewing map. Custom room labels. Faster load times. Obstacle zones, where to expect an office chair or something. For fun, let us choose the sounds the vacuum makes.
3 ★Love the vacuum and being able to control it via my phone. App has good bones but could use some improvements: 1) Pretty laggy in communicating with the shark. 2) Have yet to be able to get it to change cleaning power while it's cleaning. 3) Wish you could change room order more easily, like dragging one up or down the list. 4) Wish you could lock rooms in place on the map. When panning around the map I always catch a room and accidentally move it, then have to move it back.
2 ★Clean specific room function doesn't work. The first time, shark was sent to a different room at the other end of the house. I sent it to the dock & tried again & it magically worked, but only that time. Every time I tell shark to clean the kitchen it vacuums the living room where it isn't needed. The map is correct. The rooms don't overlap. What's the point if it never works correctly? And why does the app always think there's no internet connection? I want notifications when it gets stuck!
1 ★Please add Max default suction level. I have to manually switch to Max power level every time the vacuum runs. Otherwise it runs as normal. I'd rather have it run at Max level all the time. Chinese knockoff cheapo robot vacs have this option, why doesn't the all mighty Shark brand have it? Also Alexa integration is lacking and needs a lot of work
1 ★I am Rewriting my review on this app because once again i am having non-stop problems with the SharkClean app , i love my Shark ION robot but i ABSOLUTELY HATE the app im so irritated that the developers haven't fixed any of the issues with the app. The app doesn't connect to the robots 90% of the time and when it actually does it is incredibly slow to respond to commands. I am very close to getting rid of my robot and deleting the Shark Clean app i refuse to rate any higher than a 1 star now.
2 ★I did give this APP 4 stars. But now, this app has deleted rooms & refuses to clean specific rooms. It constantly skips over spots it's not supposed to skip over. These are things that did NOT happen when I first got it. The app developers should stop messing with things that aren't broken, bcuz when people read the reviews & see all these app fails, it's going to push them away from purchasing the Shark. Which is a shame, because when the app does work right, the vacuum itself works great!
2 ★App very disappointing. Turns on/off well, but the map is awful. Only rectangular shapes are possible. If rooms are L-shaped, since you cannot overlap two rooms, you must leave out big parts out of zone. The no-go zone is nearly impossible to edit. On top of that the "home" base is wrongly located on the map! The robot itself is very good. The app is disappointing.
