Description
Thank you for choosing to participate in this research project led by the Center of Human Dynamics in the Mobile Age (HDMA) and the County of San Diego Office of Emergency Services (OES). This mobile app allows you to re-send up-to-date emergency public information to your friends and contacts during crisis or disaster situations. Your participation ensures that each OES message will be delivered to our San Diego community members in a timely and efficient manner.Your participation in using this prototype mobile app will let us collect your tweets that are related only to the emergency public information that you will retweet from OES. Also, if you have a public account and would like HDMA to follow you on Twitter, we will be happy to do so. Keep in mind that we will not analyze or collect data from you that is not related to this research study. We will never release your personal information to anyone outside the study. This information will only be used to contact you in the event of a disaster and so we can better understand our participants.
ReadySD Social is not intended to replace the SD Emergency mobile application, which is the official mobile platform of the County of San Diego Office of Emergency Services for public preparedness, emergency, and recovery information.
