5 ★My go to browser on Arch, Windows, and mobile. Customization is amazing and it's lightweight and fast enough to work on whatever machine I put it on. Works on both my PineTab2 and my 12 year old laptop. Icing on the cake, they're all synced. My one suggestion would be to add a feature to leave myself links/notes between devices. Edit: Nevermind it was right in front of my face, I'm just blind. Guess you guys thought of everything.
3 ★Needs an accompanying Android Wear OS app. Would be great to access my "reading list" from my wrist for both reference and entertainment. Having to hold my phone to see a browser can be so inconvenient, but getting data on my wrist would be perfect, especially if I could use Vivaldi's "reader view" to just strip out the formatting.
5 ★Very close to perfect on both the desktop and mobile versions. The developers add features that are actually useful (something that isn't always so with program upgrades), you can sync your bookmarks and history between versions, and it doesn’t overwhelm my vintage 2013 desktop. The only things keeping it from perfection in my view are: No scroll-to-top/bottom on mobile and locking up my desktop when I try to watch Netflix.
5 ★It took me a day to get it arranged with my imported bookmark folders on the bookmark tab. (Long tap/hold) to move - delete - add folders on the mobile app, but when I was finished, all my changes synced to my PC. MS Edge was way too intrusive, trying to force AI and Bing and Bing-AI and interrupt me with new features and updates. Google was lurking around like a peeping Tom. All that's delightfully a thing of the past. So thank you Vivaldi for your respectful web interface.
5 ★A very nice, customizable browser that respects your privacy, and has a built in sytems to blakc unwanted ads, trackers, and other info leaking tactics websites obsess over using. The sync feature to use between devices is nice to have, but it always deactivates for me a few weeks later for some reason, Don't really use it though.
5 ★Excellent browser, that will meet all your web browsing needs. You can creat an account with it and they encrypt and store anything you choose for you. But my favorite piece is the built-in ad blocking so extremely useful on mobile devices these days. I often find myself forcing sites to open up in my Vivaldi browser just to block the ads that are constantly pasted everywhere.
5 ★I have two criticisms of Vivaldi. One is that it is based on chromium. I understand the reasons for it, but an unfortunate byproduct is that it effectively extends Google's control of the market. The other is that like almost every mobile browser, it fails to allow page zoom in a useful fashion. Opera was the only browser that had this right, but the function has gotten worse over time, probably due to Google's influence (see item one). Can't win 'em all. It's a great browser otherwise.
4 ★I love having Vivaldi on the phone and PC, however I have problems with saving my tabs on the mobile version. At one point I had over 100 tabs that I wanted to save because I know it was draining my battery but I couldn't figure out how to save them so I left them open. If anyone can point me in the direction to save tabs in the future, that'd be great!
4 ★Had some issues with the mobile app and not being able to properly control extensions across onto mobile. Also have had some difficulties with the desktop version freezing so webpages cannot be interacted with. This issue seems to be caused by quickly flipping between tabs, and can only be fixed by manually closing the page, then openning it again.
5 ★Appreciate Vivaldi for going above & beyond! For those vision challenged - the cherries on top would be ... 1. When enlarging text it could self-justify, you can only go so far in making the words larger before they move out of frame, then you must adjust to center within the frame. 2. Add an option for Gray text for Dark theme. [for comparison Opera satisfies both needs, text large as needed, auto centers & 'Night mode' removes harshness of white text]. Vivaldi does surpass in every other way.
5 ★Best browser out there. You can switch seamlessly between your desktop, and your phone. That's the most important thing to me. NOT having to learn two different apps. And not having Microsoft-style unnecessary changes all the time. 😉👉 That's why anyone likes scripting, you don't have to relearn it constantly.
2 ★Your terrible "Simplified view" (under Accessibility) for websites is killing this app. The "view" is anything but simple or accessible. Disappears after a few seconds. Hardly shows up on most sites. Why not just have a Reader mode that sits in the address bar like every other browser? This is basic in all browsers now. Why reinvent the wheel. For this reason alone I'm still using Firefox. Update after update, Vivaldi still can't get this right.
