Description

Startup Manager aims at helping disable/enable startup items from system boot for Android devices including smartphones and tablets. To disable an item from system startup, uncheck the application from the list (recheck to restore and it will start again). For other item that do not start with system boot, please use “Customize” to add and enable it to start with system boot.

Supported languages: English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Russian, and Indonesian.

User tab shows all the user applications that have restart function. You can uncheck them all to enhance system startup speed. Long tap an app name will give you access to enable/disable, read application info about, uninstall the app and search the app in Android Market.

System tab shows all the system processes that start with system boot. Some processes may not be necessary to start due to our using habits and preferences. Please uncheck these processes only if you know well about the effects of disabling them.

If you want to add a new item that does not start with device boot, Customize is the best choice.

Besides features above, from Startup Manager Menu - settings you can also select if you want to calculate system startup time and disable system boot sound.

Note: For android 2.2 and higher OS non-rooted devices, some processes will restart themselves right after being disabled.

Product Features:
- Master of Android system's startup entry management
- Intelligently analyze and monitor all system startup entries (include user applications and system processes) in the background
- Safely disable any undesired application or process from auto-startup at device boot
- One click to view detailed properties for each startup entry
- Disabled startup entries are stored for future restoration
- Add your favorite applications (including 3rd party user apps or system apps) to system startup

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

4 ★What I would like to see is a way to auto start an app in a background or minimized state. Could I possibly do that by listing the home screen as the last option? At any rate, I'd pay for an app that could do that. Cleaner apps make my phone unresponsive during periods of stand by so I am afraid of them. I don't want to pull my battery in an emergency.
1 ★The only thing this app ACTUALLY does, is show your boot up time. It will NOT remove annoying apps from the startup list. Simply use the built in option to show apps that could not be disabled at startup, and it will tell on itself. Great idea, but in reality, could probably only truly work on a rooted device.
2 ★The main thing Startup Manager manages to do is startup an ad in front of my lock screen. About half the apps I clicked to not startup when I turned on my phone started anyway.
1 ★Loaded up 1st time and laughed when I saw how small the icons and text are!!! Deleted it straight away. What a waste of data! Absolutely useless.
2 ★This app used to work fine. I would have given it 4 or 5 stars, but something has happened to it lately. The UI has gone screwy. Everything is very small now, so it's difficult to use. I've switched to the All-In-One Toolbox app as a replacement.
5 ★I love this app! Ive tried DOZENS that FAIL on keeping apps dead but not Startup Manager! I selected the apps i wanted disabled even fb and messenger. Then restarted my phone and whent straight to the running apps list in settings. You can see the apps try to strt then they drop off the list as Startup Manager swats them down! Thank you Jesus! I also am using All in One Toolbox which is even better than CleanMaster and THAT IS SAYING SOMETHING! You guys hit it on the head and got my 5 stars! Thanks!
5 ★My search for a (non-root) solution to manage the pre-packaged bloatware that came with my (AT&T) phone led me here. Simple interface allowed me to flag all of the apps and system components I wanted NOT to start up automatically. My next reboot took less than a minute. I was instantly impressed.
1 ★Due to horrible resolution management, fonts are so small, it's unusable. Apparently the dev is still learning how to program for Android. Can't comment on functionality as it is unusable even with a large magnifying glass.
4 ★App seems to work well but I have recently had a problem I cannot read the list of apps and don't yet know how to get around this problem. I have otherwise been happy with it.
2 ★The print is so small and the radio buttons so small and far away from the app names to be all but useless. This could have been a good app. Why don't you fix it. I've got a 5.6 inch screen. If I can't see it or reliably operate it how could someone with a smaller screen? I'm thinking about uninstalling it and replacing it with another app.
5 ★Once your device is rooted. This app does the task exactly as described. It will may your phone snappier and save little battery after stop a few wasted apps that you don't want to run at start up.
3 ★Sure it seems to kinda work. Doesn't keep messenger or Facebook from having their way with your tablets ram and doesn't list apps like YouTube but it's free so I quest that's a decent excuse for it?
