The task management mechanism of android system has been changed after the release of the version 2.2 of the android system. Task killers cannot kill the services and notifications on your phone.
By use of the Advanced Task Manager, you can thoroughly stop tasks in the following steps: 1) long press the task that you want to stop 2) chose the “force stop” option 3) press the the “force stop” button on the application info system panel
If you want to manage running services, click menu->service, then it will open the system service panel where you can stop running services.
Please note that installing other task manager or task killer tools may make your phone unstable or cause potential conflict.
■ FAQ ----------------------------- Q: Why do apps restart again after killing? A: Some apps are restarted by system events. Apps cannot be prevented from restarting because of system limitation. We suggest you to enable auto kill in settings, and it will kill tasks on every screen off. It will help to save battery life and release memory for the phone.
Q: How can I add apps to the ignore list? A: You can long press the task that you want to ignore, and then you will get a pop up context menu, click "Ignore". The ignored apps will not be shown in the task list, and will never be killed. You can manage the ignored apps in settings.
Q: How can I manage startup apps? There is "Startup Kill" in settings. It can help you to kill tasks when system starts up.

How to install Advanced Task Manager APK on Android phone or tablet?
Download Advanced Task Manager APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
Go to your phone Settings page
Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
Check the Unknown Sources box
Confirm with OK
Go to Downloads
Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files
Tap the APK file you downloaded (mobi.infolife.taskmanager-v6.4.5.238-ApkClean.apk)
Tap Install when prompted, the APK file you downloaded will be installed on your device.
A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★The application worked well for a period of time then I was forced to manually launch the application every time I needed to kill background processes. I have checked the settings and the options for activating the application on startup are enabled. So, I'm not sure why the application is not functioning as expected! Maybe future releases will address the issue. Regardless, the situation has dampened my 'Advanced Task Manager' experience.
1 ★Dont waste your time. You can go to kill the apps right after you "killed" the apps but some how their ghost appear every time! FORCE STOP APPS (NO ROOT) IS THE BEST ONE THAT ACTUALLY GOES TO SETTING AND FORCE CLOSE EACH APP Waste of time DO NOT INSTALL!!
1 ★Useless app. It pretends to kill apps, but closing and then reopening the app shows the same list as before. Also, most of the apps in the list are not running, nor had been since phone restart, and are not the kind that would run in the background (simple offline games, etc.). And the worst part, this has ADs!!! This is a FAKE task killer that does not kill any tasks, and its sole purpose is ad delivery. Do not download, do not use.
3 ★I used this app for years before going to an iPhone after the Note 7 fiasco. It always worked flawlessly for me and I looked forward to using it again now that I'm back with android on a Galaxy S10 5G, but sadly the app isn't working. I'm not sure if it's because the S10 5G just released and the app needs an update, but as it is currently the app does not perform its job. Will update this review once the app has been updated and works.
1 ★I've used this app for years on my other (older) devices and it has worked well. This later version on my most recent phone apparently does nothing. I came back to look on Google Play to see if there was some reason for that and notice quite a few reviews stating the same issue. I'm uninstalling it and getting an app that works.
4 ★I understand ads are necessary; however, right after installing & opening the app there were loud and baring ads, I couldn't even use it to just try it! That's horrendous. 8/28/2019 Update Okay so the ads have calmed down, some are useful, & they're not intrusive. I'm using a LG Stylo 4 from Xfinity Mobile & it's a watered down version of what other carriers sell. Using it as a backup (waiting for repair). This LG has a measly 2GB of Ram. This app saves the day! 4 stars now up from 1 star.
3 ★This app works perfectly fine, but the iconography genuinely bugs me. I know what it's trying to communicate with the android logo and the big red X, but bright lime green and red is not super appealing to look at. I'd also hold off on shading the icon unless you're using cell shading or very subtle gradients. When most app icons look smooth and sharp and minimalist, yours sticks out a bit like a sore thumb. I am using a custom app icon and I just turned off all app notifications because I don't want to see it next to all of my matching icons in the toolbar at the top of the screen. But, I'm a graphic artist so I'm probably unreasonably picky about this kind of thing lol. But again, it works perfectly fine
1 ★(Redmi Note 9s, MIUI 11.0.11) Did not kill the app. At least this detected the apps correctly..
1 ★I bought this app for the pro version quite some time ago, and had it working excellent. However now there's not a pro version. Now there's ads which is very annoying and now the displayed memory available below the widget doesn't change and only shows an unchanging MB available using the old widget. app only works on my Moto G5 from the main app, not the widget. Widget doesn't work or show memory proper. I thought when you paid for an app you got it and kept it. not pay for it then lose the pro
2 ★Every time I open the app the same exact apps are always running, which is basically all of them. So I kill them and immediately open the app again only to find every app I just killed running again. Now how can that be if I haven't done a single thing in between scans? Don't know, don't care. Uninstall. Galaxy Note 8
2 ★It seems okay, I guess. But it is saturated with ads. A Task Manager Application should be both free & Ad-free, without any hassle or unnecessary expense. Sometimes I cannot even tell for sure if this Application is working. Full screen ads within are intrusive and obstructive.
1 ★It simply does "nothing". 20+ apps running, I even stopped one app manually, and declined all permissions as well as app overlay... the app process was still hung. Ran the task killer five times, the process kept coming up along with 20+ others. After a restart, the app reports only 4 apps( none of which were my problem app that I was trying to kill.) Again, it simply does nothing. Just uninstall this app and reboot your phone to kill apps. 10 million downloads? Seriously?
