New: We partnered with Google to bring incredibly fast, low-latency ink to Squid on the Google Pixelbook and Samsung Chromebook Plus (with Chrome 62). See the difference: https://youtu.be/Oc66T_e7xwU

Take handwritten notes naturally on your Android tablet, phone, or Chromebook supporting Android apps! With Squid you can write just like you would on paper using an active pen, passive stylus, or your finger.

Easily markup PDFs to fill out forms, edit/grade papers, or sign documents. Import images, draw shapes, and add typed text to your notes. Quickly select, copy/paste, and move content between pages and notes. Organize your notes within notebooks and increase your productivity!

Turn your device into a virtual whiteboard or give presentations in a class, meeting, or conference by wirelessly casting to a TV/projector (e.g. using Miracast, Chromecast). Export notes as PDFs or images, then share them with others or store them in the cloud!

Squid is vector based - keeping your notes beautiful at any zoom level and on any device. You can erase entire letters and words quickly with the stroke eraser tool, or just parts of words with the true eraser tool. The selection tool allows you to change the color and thickness of your handwriting and even resize a drawing whenever you want without any loss in quality.

Squid takes special advantage of active pens on capable devices to provide natural, pressure sensitive handwriting. Just write with the pen and erase with your finger!

Squid is designed to be both powerful and simple to use, allowing you to take notes quickly and efficiently.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★Very good app . The premium version of this app is very useful for all students for taking notes
5 ★This app made virtual teaching a lot easier. It casts and works well with AirServer.
5 ★Awesome app, like it, it's a very useful and easy to use app.
3 ★I love this app. One of the absolute best from all the other ones I've tried. The only thing that keeps this from a 5-star rating is its inability to sync across multiple divides. You can backup and export, but it's not the same as a simultaneous sync across all devices. If it had this feature, it would be the absolute best on the market!
4 ★The reason why it is not a 5 star is that, there is no auto Google drive back up. It would be great if we can flip through pages ,as it's really bothersome to find the arrow to flip the pages. And it takes some time to load the page content as you scroll down, (appears a checkerboard pattern which is really annoying. ). Otherwise it's a great app to use.i love it.
4 ★So far, the best note taking app for Android but still incomparable to the Apple apps. I'm using a Tab S7+ and when I use the Lasso it will always select things outside of the selection aswell. The Lasso tool only registers sections as squares, so I have to zoom in in order to select what I want. Also the shapes are pretty annoying to use. You can't select it any other way than using the lasso tool, would be better if I could hold the shape for it to come up with options like samsung notes.
2 ★Great app, but one major gripe: notes are not loaded as you scroll. There's some checkerboard pattern that is there instead that makes it hard to find something specific on a larger note page. This is the only thing that makes squid worse than onenote. It truly kills the productivity of the app. What's worse is that this has been an issue for years that has been suggested to be fixed since 2014 on their suggestions site. Why is this still a problem almost 7 years later?
3 ★Squid has many great features-it's very smooth, provides quick shortcuts for changing tools, colors, etc, and has decent customizability in terms of page zoom, template, and pen buttons-but unfortunately there are a few missing parts which are almost dealbreakers for me. First, there's no continuous scroll option, so it's very inconvenient to flip through the pages of a pdf. Second, there is no sync between devices. Finally, the file management system is limited to just notebooks and notes.
5 ★Its awesome app for note taking...I would like to see more features coming in the further updates.
3 ★I like the app but there are 2 problems 1. The app is crashing roughly every 10 min. So that get to the main menu and have to reopen the page. 2. When I drag the page the parts of the screen that I drag to tack like a sekund to load. It would've way better if the parts off screen would be preloaded so that they don't have to load when I start to drag.
2 ★Looks good, it's got grid, I like that. What I don't like is that the eraser removes the entire layer not just a piece!! I mean, if you draw a picture or text like an Etch-a-Sketch, then try to erase one part of it, the whole thing is deleted. There's an undo button, but paying for an eraser tool is stupid.
1 ★Very unpolished app. The toolbar has no shortcuts for colors or highlighter. The palm rejection is not good, the pressure sensitivity is too wide range for writing, no folders, no bookmarks, the backups are done in intervals of time (not after every time you close a notebook as in goodnotes), and it doesnt even work properly for me. Only dropbox and box clouds. No audio recording, no dark mode, no vertical scrolling pages, and scrolling inside a page is laggy af. price is 1€/month for all this..
