2 ★In free version 3rd party ads pop up, innundate/overwhelm and they can't be stopped,. That isn't the only thing that turned me off from premium consideration.The app itself cannot compete even with Stitcher in terms of interface & PCast availability.Appears that Castbox uses web browser to access the podcasts.It certainly doesn't deserve more.than a 2-star rating. I wouldn't trust Google selections or ratings. You can try it for yourself & see how it stacks up. For me, it is not acceptable.
1 ★I've used this app for several years now. Lately it's been shutting off randomly while using it in the car, or starting up automatically when I don't want it to. I've gone in and adjusted battery settings and app settings but it continues to stop playing. It's highly irritating. Support seems lacking too. Currently searching for a new podcast app.
5 ★I was a refugee from the disastrous Stitcher update, and Castbox is a big improvement, but it's search feature is pretty useless, which can be frustrationg, if you're looking for something which might be mentioned in the episode description. Otherwise, it's perfect. Thank you to developers, really it is overall the best podcast app, and I've tried them all.
3 ★I've used Castbox for a few years and have enjoyed my experience until recently. Since December, it's been stopping mid-play and going to white screen in the background. Then, when I switch to it, it takes a moment to repopulate and I have to reselect my content. I hadn't listened to the app since January for that reason. I thought updates would fix it in time. Yet, here I am having the same issue. I don't want to uninstall it bc I enjoy the castbox originals, but perhaps I must.
4 ★I really like that you can skip 10 seconds back and 30 seconds forward. It's just annoying how long their "share" links are. I try to share an episode and it breaks over multiple texts to other people and they cannot click on the link. I have to find the episode/podcast on Spotify if I want to share something to a friend. Very inconvenient.
1 ★I had to use a different podcast player because castbox has been i think Censoring The podcasters that I listen to There would be pieces of the Podcast missing and Skipping forwards Even after I download them. I listen to a lot of political podcasters. And I've tested it. I downloaded right leaning Podcast and left leaning Podcast and the right leaning was only it would happen to I've even gone to YouTube watch the videos And Downloaded other Podcast players. there was no skips And missing parts
1 ★I had given this 5 stars, changed to 1 star now because of the forced ads on timers. I didn't care about the constant ads because I could just close them immediately, and I understand that's their source of revenue. Now I have to sit and wait for the ad to finish, or close and restart the app. I went through several podcast apps before I settled on this one. Premium service is available for a standard price, it's just pretty low of them to force people's hands into paying for it.
1 ★Kyle Kulinski's audio is HOT GARBAGE. It's just fine on YouTube and other places the show airs. Why does is sound like it's coming from 100 years ago on your platform? I find it odd that it's the most independent and loudest voice on the left who's feed isn't working properly... I'm sure (tho i won't ever listen for a second to test my theory) that that clown Ben Shapiro's audio is just fine.
3 ★Over the past couple months I have noticed my subscribed to podcasts will alert me that a new episode is available but when I go to the list of episodes, its not there and I have validated through other apps they should be available. In the same time period, the actual podcasts are starting to have more issues with the actual recording, a lot of the episodes will all of sudden jump back 15-20 seconds and then keep going. Other times it jumps and I can't tell what happened.
5 ★I have been using Castbox for almost 4 years. This podcast platform gives the listener most, if not all the podcasts you could ever want to listen to. It reminds you when you are listening on your data which is very handy, you can download and listen to on the go and it can auto download (or not) and delete already listened to podcasts. This is my go to app for all my podcast listening.
1 ★Has become incredibly slow to load (on broadband wifi). Update: Appreciate the responsiveness of the app creators. Am coordinating with developer team to get them troubleshooting detail. Update2: And falling again... ads for some game of a sniper aiming at people's heads. Seriously?... also thought I was crazy, but now 100% that my library is being filled with podcasts I've NOT subscribed to... And there's no persistent player UI... have to trace back into the podcast detail to control playbck.
1 ★I loved this app. All that I ever used. Have uninstalled it now because everything plays to quick/fastnow. Realy disappointed!!! Cannot understand what is said. Its as if you are pressing a fast forward button whilst listening. Horrible. Please fix this please
