4 ★18 Feb 2025. in previous versions it was possible to use your finger to move about the time at which you could hit play. sometimes I'll listen to a podcast and pull my earpods out and miss the last third. but when I go back now to start it at that location again, I have to use the fast forward button
2 ★The latest update is terrible on pixel. Opening subscribed podcasts changes the player to the last episode you listened to for each subbed pod you click on to look for episodes. And the list of episodes defaults somewhere in the middle of the list instead of the top. Used to be really user friendly.
5 ★Equalizer settings aren't saved in v25.2.10R on Samsung s25 ultra Android 16. Always drops to default after reopen etc.
3 ★The app itself is good, however it does not work well with android auto, you are unable to scroll down through lists of episodes it will automatically go back to the top right away. If this is fixed I would give it 5 stars!
4 ★I find this is the easiest podcast app for managing multiple playlists. Knocked a star because I wish that I could set different speeds for different playlists - right now you can only change speed for individual podcasts or everything.
4 ★I really like it. But it doesn't like to sync between 2 devices, even after trying a full sync from the settings. Edit: It does sync some stuff, but not all. Playlists do not sync across devices.
4 ★A recent update changed the actions of played episodes. Once the episode is finished, instead of stopping or moving on to the next episode, the episode restarts. This is not ideal and does not allow to select an episode to play next. Please change this, thank you.
1 ★An increasingly buggy app. Neither the app nor the podcast streams work well. The app is full of bugs like the queue will lose its place if the phone's orientation changes. And streams jump around meaning you get to hear things twice in exchange for not hearing the end of the episode s. Not worth your time or money.
1 ★Used with no problem for a number of years. But this week I’ve had to unisntall the app after it started downloading 100’s and 100’s of episodes automatically. This morning for example, over a 1000 episodes downloaded yesterday & overnight. And more STILL being downloaded as I tried to delete them from my phone. No settings where changed, no automatic download button was switched on. Incredibly infuriating. So moving on to another podcast app.
3 ★Basicly spoken it's a great app but I gave only 3 stars because I've found out that I'm not able to play my podcasts on the podcast republic website 😏🙄🤔 and according to the support there are no plans to change that 🤔🙄😏🤦♂️🤷
