1 ★Used for 10 years or so and love this ap! Lately, past week or so, when playing a podcast the volume turns down on its own and I can't hear what is playing. If I tap randomly on "something" the volume goes up. Eventually the volume keeps dropping down on its own again. This volume problem doesn't happen elsewhere for example when using YouTube. I'm using a motoG 6 android phone.
4 ★Overall a great tool. A couple of drawbacks to know about. I have it set to download new episodes while charging and on wifi. The number of concurrent downloads makes my phone unresponsive while those download jobs are working. Also, it will quite often on my phone delete a podcast while in the middle of listening and i have to redownload to finish playing it
5 ★Lots of options that can be configured. The backup and restore works flawlessly.
3 ★I have an issue where every podcast that I stream and don't download skips 10 to 15 seconds somewhere in the middle of the podcast. And it doesn't matter if I rewind, it will continue to skip that exact same 10 to 15 seconds. If I download it, it usually fixes the issue, but not always.
5 ★I have throughly enjoyed the selections, options and ease of use.
5 ★Great app, loads fast, lots of options for user control. I haven't figured out why it can't play over bluetooth in my car yet but it's probably user error. One thing that's weird is that every so often the stream will just back up on its own and replay the last 5-10 seconds of audio. That's not user error.

Doesn't appear to be doing all sorts of things in the background, actually closes when I close it, does not cause un-related applications to open as well, etc. Just does what it is supposed to, and does it very well (clean, intuitive interface, plays nice with SD card, etc.). Highly recommended!
3 ★Mostly a good app, simple to use and well designed interface that works well on Galaxy phones, but with a few frustrating elements. About once or twice a year I have gotten errors downloading an episode, after which I am completely unable to play or download that particular episode even if the initial issue is resolved. More minor, but part of the interface is small messages that alert the user, like "One episode added to downloads" and these messages block the bottom of the UI, preventing use
5 ★This is such an awesome podcast player. I was a long DoggCatcher user and enjoyed its advanced features, but now Podcast Republic does everything it did - and much more! Ability to have individual podcasts at different speeds, volume, notifications, skip and download arrangements, playlists that have priorities and can automatically keep playing the next highest priority playlist when a higher one finishes. Search for podcasts or episodes, backup to the cloud. It seems to be designed for what every advanced user could possibly want. I'm still amazed I've found such a fantastic product!
