Lookout uses computer vision to assist people with low vision or blindness get things done faster and more easily. Using your phone’s camera, Lookout makes it easier to get more information about the world around you and do daily tasks more efficiently like sorting mail, putting away groceries, and more.Built with guidance from the blind and low-vision community, Lookout supports Google’s mission to make the world’s information universally accessible to everyone.
Lookout has six modes for a variety of activities:
• NEW: Use Images mode to describe the contents of an image. The new Image Q&A feature offers AI-powered descriptions of images (available in English only) plus the ability to ask questions via voice and text (available in US, UK and Canada only).
• Use Text mode to quickly skim text and hear it read aloud — for doing things like sorting mail and reading signs.
• Use Food labels mode to quickly identify packaged foods by their label, in addition to scanning barcodes. Available in more than 20 countries.
• Capture a whole page of text or handwriting with Documents mode.
• Use Currency mode to identify banknotes quickly and reliably, with support for US Dollars, Euros, and Indian Rupees.
• Explore mode (beta) offers information about your surroundings by identifying objects and people and reading signs.
Lookout is available in more than 20 languages, and runs on devices with Android 6 and above. Devices with 2GB or more RAM are recommended.

How to install Lookout - Assisted vision APK on Android phone or tablet?

Q: What is an APK File?

4 ★Nice app. But Add Kannada language please. There are more than 2 lak kannada speaking visually impaireds. Kannada is oficial language .
3 ★I have had a problem with the app opening on my phone for 2 weeks now. The app crashes, and I keep sending feedback...is anyone else having this problem? I have already reinstaled, it didnt help. Thanks.
3 ★Please bring OCR which will support many languages including hindi in the reading mode. Also kindly bring a feature to read pdf files in multiple languages. More importantly I wish to scan multiple pages and convert them all into single file.
5 ★Being extremely near sighted reading small print especially shopping or product manuals not easy, have or had to remove glasses each time. This app is flat out amazing👍It reads the tiniest print, hand written notes, everything tried so far. Could not be happier with results 😀
4 ★Google your application is very good, we also add Hindi language to it for the visually impaired, because we also use this app from India, if you insist on Hindi language in it, then it will be very useful for us, this application made by you With folded hands, you request that you add Hindi language as soon as possible.

5 ★Works very nicely, but, one additional bit of functionality that would be very nice to have on offer would be to have it available under the share/open with options when sharing images from other software
5 ★Great app. Recognizes labels almost instantly, fantastic text recognition, and it recognizes currency quicker than any app I've used. I massively recommend this app for anyone who is blind or has vision loss.

3 ★Great app. I'm not visually impaired, just tried this if it works. There are times it won't recognize the object in front, like the door or a bureau
5 ★Please add kannada language kannada is the most famous language in india.
3 ★please add a toggle for flash light within the app. sometimes situations do not have good light or no light at all and adding this toggle would help ensure that text could still be red despite lighting conditions.
