Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★I was forced to do a update and all it says now this app is no longer supported. Ok I understand all that. But before the update I was ok with the app I do not need support I just need access to my ibi. You guys are over thinking. Kindly provide me a way to access my ibi. I need a software app before the update again don't need your support.
1 ★No longer supported and they make app not usable
1 ★Purchased ibi smart photo manager & a few months later they closed down. No wonder it was on sale. No further support, updates & worst of all no more access via app. Pretty lame, SanDisk now leaves a bad taste next time I'm looking for storage solutions. What if the discontinue the next thing I buy from them?
1 ★You're solution is to buy new 1TB drive? Why buy something if the company decides it's a POS and prevents customers from using it again? Why would I buy a Sandisk hard drive, a personal cloud, and quits working if a company says so? I'm never buying a SanDisk anything again. Wouldn't let me do zero stars!
4 ★I have had and used IBi for years. I have thousands of photos, videos. I love IBI, I can't believe this is happening!! I'm disappointed that after Aug. 31st, I can't access Ibi, from my, and 📱 Mobile phone. I have an android phone, they must be moving to Apple only phones?? GayLynn Folse
2 ★So now you cant do anything after the no support date ! I loved this because, Im on fixed income , and have to save up to purchase ! Now I am having trouble trying to get my photos off the device ! Very upset ! No more products from Western Digital for me ! They should have a local spot now to help save your photos !!! Free of charge !
1 ★I use to Love having my own IBI cloud. now I can't even transfer my pics, videos and docs to a USB device. it keeps OOPS SOMETHING WENT WRONG! I keep signing out and signing back into my ibi to copy and get the same thing. I can't afford a laptop. this doesn't work with my Chromebook. all I have is my android phone to try to save my photos, videos docs before this IBI device TANKS. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY INVESTING IN SOMETHING THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO KEEP MY STUFF STORED SAFELY!
1 ★One reason to choose ibi is to store photos in the local, instead of cloud. Many of our photos were uploaded onto Google Photo, not the Google Drive. Unfortunately, there is only download from Google drive available, not the Google Photo. Can ibi fix this issue? What a waste! Just a little more than three years, WD will stop support the app. The instructions for future local access doesn't work either.
1 ★Update: Well...WD is shutting down ibi remote access by the end of August 2024. Now I have to throw two perfectly functioning ibis in the trash because of designed obsoleteness. Only had them for 3 years. No discount or recycling option given to upgrade device. It would cost them almost nothing to keep this functioning as it uses the same app as my cloud home. I guess I will be moving to Synology because at least they support their products long term.
1 ★Received new Galaxy 24S Ultra. My phone is connected to my wifi, so is my ibi when I go through setup. As I finish setup my ibi show offline. Why?
