3 ★This app doesn't allow you to be specific enough in your filter, it makes you filter through too much debris to quickly obtain the answer you're looking for. It would be helpful to provide a filter for a specific place you're looking to stay at, not just an area, and having the option of expanding the search to nearby rentals would be extremely helpful.
1 ★While the info is helpful, it is obnoxious and harassing - a real pest in it's constant never-ending objective of telling me what's near me. I found it annoying, so in the settings menu, I turned off all notifications and all permissions. So what happens, they start sending me emails. Trip Advisor, go pound sand! I'm deleting the app. I'll use something else less harassing.
1 ★I hate how you can't sort by the distance for restaurants. they did at one time and they removed that. the sort feature has to be my biggest pet peeve on this app. The new app format sucks. it's almost like they have 2 apps in one. if you have your GPS turned it gives you a different layout then if you didn't have it turned on. It should have remained the same.
3 ★A Well-Known Quantity Doesn't Quite Make it to Mobile. I love TripAdvisor mainly as a kind of travel diary and to check out possible restaurants and things to do. But I mainly use it on a computer. The mobile platform seems balky and hard to maneuver around. Not too long ago, they came out with an updated version in all platforms that ruined several features I had come to depend upon. But for advance planning I still find it useful.
3 ★This app is slowly getting better (3 stars). It used to be a useful resource when traveling (5 stars!), then it released a new app that was way too buggy to even bother (2 stars, at best). It's kinda sad to see the once great Trip Advisor amount to this. Even now, while adding a new or missing place has gotten better, it still needs a dedicated page to place the new listing's location map pinpointer; and review photos are still posting with incorrect orientation (sideways, upside down).
5 ★First app I go to whenever we travel. I really appreciate Trip Advisor's results when I am searching for specifics or looking for ideas. The reviews posted by everyone are really helpful. It is great to be able ask questions of people who have 'been there, done that. The ratings given by T.A. are also helpful. Lots of great helpful information! Keep up the great work!
5 ★always helpful. I enjoy giving reviews too, and then another other Travelers can know about the gems that are along the roadways and hidden in the towns we all zip past too quickly. and there are a few stinkers that I have encountered. it's good to be able to warn others about things that might go wrong on their trip. No one wants to try to check in hotel after hours on the road, and find out nobody's there to let you in. Overall It's a wonderful tool. I really enjoyed sharing my photos too.
5 ★I've grown to refer to Trip Advisor in one way or another for ALL of my trips. The traveler's photos and reviews are always helpful. I, myself, contribute reviews and photos, so I have more trust in the review and can get a "truer" gauge of the place. I love being able to save places in a file during my research and planning. Great app!
3 ★Not bad! The app pretty much does what you would expect of a travel app. The info provided on many lodging options could use a little refinement. Specific information is sometimes not easy to obtain and I have to visit the hotel's site itself. This rather defeats the purpose of going to the TripAdvisor app in the first place. I expect this however as all the travel apps I've used have this problem at times. No surprises...three stars.
1 ★The information in the app is great. The app itself has gone way downhill. It used to allow you to use saved "trips" offline. Not anymore. What is even worse is the APPS connectivity problems. I can be right by a cell tower or wifi router and it can't connect to the internet. I have to sit and push retry too many times to connect This happens on both my mobile phones. It is REALLY annoying and renders the app useless when exploring a city you have researched before going.
5 ★Very good app! If you're planning a trip or even looking for local options, you need this app. It's definitely one of my most used apps for a reason. It's very informative and helpful. It allows you to save things you find at a location to your "places" list that you create so when you go, open your saved destination and have at it. I planned a weeklong Vegas trip of things to do, places to eat, etc this way and never missed a thing. I ran out of vacation before I did options! Highly recommended
1 ★Used to use this app all the time, but this new update is terrible! The previous update, when searching flights, it would never stop loading. This caused the filter/sort button to never become active. Now with this update, I cannot even find the option to search for a flight at all! I have emailed support multiple times and the topic gets closed everytime before I even get a response. I don't understand why it had to change! Where is the flight search option???
