為擴大國際集郵聯合會（FIP）會員國集郵家之交流與友好關係，並促進各會員國集郵活動，特由中華郵政股份有限公司、中華集郵團體聯合會、中華民國對外貿易發展協會共同主辦「臺北2016世界郵展」。台灣是寶島APP以「臺北2016世界郵展-台灣是寶島」之郵票結合擴增實境技術，在臺北2016世界郵展活動中推出，讓使用者可以使用APP掃描展出郵票，並看到郵票從靜態變成動態的效果。
並加入時下最熱門的虛擬實境技術，結合寶島台灣的特色影片，製作3D電影院，讓使用者可以使用cardboard，彷彿置身電影院中欣賞這些有趣的影片。
