Description
SmartMo is used to collect track data of everyday ways, e.g., driving to work or going shopping. Primarily, SmartMo is intended to be used as a tool for mobility surveys, in the context of a large-scale study. However, it can also be used to journalize the personal mobility behavior of private persons.SmartMo allows you to track routes and assign a "reason" and "means of transportation" to them, using the categorization scheme developed in the Austrian KOMOD science project. Registered survey users additionally can upload their collected data to the SmartMo server.
Note: SmartMo uses GPS for tracking your routes. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
SmartMo is funded by the Austrian government (bmvit) and by the FFG.
