How to install Alertus APK on Android phone or tablet?

Download Alertus APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:

Update Phone Settings

Go to your phone Settings page
Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
Check the Unknown Sources box
Confirm with OK

Go to Downloads

Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files

1 ★I get no audible notifications. I'll look at my phone and realize I got an alert an hour or two ago as a push notification, but with no sound I never notice them in a timely manner. Tried all different settings.

1 ★This app is awesome when it works. Every time my phone updates the app gets stuck in offline mode. Now customer service is telling me my organization has to contact them. So I can't get help. Very poor customer service. I just need to know what setting I have to adjust again for this app to work.

1 ★Today I received a notification of an active assailant on campus when I was in a nearby location, and when I tried to open the Alertus app it got stuck on "Processing" for a long time, and sometimes said "It appears that internet connection is offline" despite my internet connection working perfectly fine for other purposes. For a while I couldn't see the alert in the list after having received the notification, which made it look like a retracted false alarm, but it was a real event.
