Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

1 ★Useful when it (infrequently) works, but really poorly designed... often doesn't show alerts in app after a notification, doesn't handle screen elements correctly, locks up or stalls with a blank screen if swapped away from with 'recents' button. Not something to rely on in an emergency. The FEMA app is much better for alerts.
1 ★I agree with others. I will get an alert notification on my phone and I when I click the notification, it takes me to the main menu screen and I have no idea where the notification information is. It is not for lack of trying. It just isn't there. I think I need to uninstall it because it is just not helpful and is more stressful to get those notifications when we are in fire season/fires a few miles from us.
1 ★On my Android phone, the app bottom menu appears beneath the OS buttons so it is impossible to access the alerts menu, making this app unusable and it blocks critical information during an emergency.
1 ★Totally useless. I get an alert notification, open the app, and there's nothing about the alert to be found. Waste of time and grant money. Just happened regarding a wildfire.
2 ★Good info but buggy app, keeping it installed but needs improvements The info the app provides and the tools it offers are useful, but the app has some issues loading slow and the navigation menu at the bottom of the app displays under the Android navigation bar so they are not clickable.
3 ★unable to complete, app freezes after 1 contact entered.
2 ★Contact integration doesn't seem to work.
4 ★I just moved from So. Cal, and found about ALERTSCC so I installed it in my cell, seems like a lot of fires are breaking out in So. CAL, hopefully none in SCC.
1 ★No updated information.
1 ★Would be good - full of useful information, but it wanted to update software, and that kept locking up my phone. Deleted it.
