Description

ETI-Eloquence Text To Speech (TTS) is an Android ported version of the popular Eloquence Text-To-Speech synthesizer.

ETI-Eloquence is a TTS engine that you can use in a wide range of applications such as:
- Screen readers and applications for blind people (like Talkback or Mobile Accessibility)
- GPS software
- E-book readers
- Translators
- And many more!

*** IMPORTANT NOTE ***
- Recent Google apps updates force using their own voices. Apps like Google Maps or Google Now, ignore text-to-speech settings, only allowing Google TTS. This decision from Google has been strongly discouraged by the Android community but as for now, we cannot ensure compatibility for this apps. As an alternative for Google Maps, you can use ETI-Eloquence on other GPS apps like "Navigator" or "Sygic", that are compatible with Google Speech APIs.
***************************

The main features of ETI-Eloquence TTS are:
- 10 languages included with a single purchase: US English, UK English, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Mexico), German, Finnish (Finland), French (France), French (Canada), Italian and Portuguese (Brazil)
- Speed and pitch configuration
- User Dictionary: possibility to add, edit or remove words from a dictionary to customize the pronunciation
- Emoji support

Once the application is installed on your device, you can make ETI-Eloquence your default TTS engine by going to Settings > Language & input > Text-to-Speech output and checking "ETI-Eloquence TTS" as your default preferred engine.

All Android devices from 4.0 onwards are supported.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

1 ★NOT compatible with the S Pen on the Note 4. More of a hassle than an aid. Can not navigate fully with the S Pen and can not switch from one screen to the next in app drawer. It hangs on some things and repeats content repeatedly. Wasted $20. I DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR NOTE 4 USERS. If I get to where I can't see to use a tochscreen then I will go back to a flip phone. A blind person needs to feel what they can't see. It needs something that is tactile. UNINSTALLING.
2 ★It's good that Eloquence, the familiar and beloved TTS engine, is available for Android. However, it has pesky consonant-initial audio cutout issues on Android 5 Lollipop. That is, either while typing or reading by letter or word, you'll often hear consonants like "t," "p," "k," "d," etc broken. This has been affecting Eloquence for months without the developer doing nothing about it -- something very strange and disturbing for such an expensive application. Also, Eloquence has a problem with "apostrophe" -- ' -- in some applications where words containing an apostrophe are separated into two words. For instance, you're is read as you re, isn't is read as isn t, etc. Until these issues are resolved, I give the app a 2-star rating and don't recommend it to Android users. Developers like CodeFactory should learn not to exploit users' initial enthusiasm for a TTS engine by bringing it to Google Play, working on it for a few months, and then dropping it like a hot potato -- half-baked. For the very same reason, neither do I purchase their other TTS engine nor do I recommend it.
5 ★This update is really awsome because of emotocons/emojis to be read optionally. I'm giving 5 stars to this now. Well done, team!
5 ★Good work. I use Eloquence with my Windows PC. Thanks for dictionary features.
5 ★Eloquence is the best synthesizer in the world. Thanks to port it on Android OS.
5 ★I like this voice, it is the best in the world.
4 ★Eloquence is the best TTS engine I have ever used and I am someone who experiment quite a bit with different options. There is nothing better when it comes to responsiveness and stability, and no other engine can hold a candle to Eloquence as far as fast reading is concerned. There is daylight between Eloquence and the next best in this regard. When Code Factory brought Eloquence to Android, it retained these best characteristics and it has been my default TTS for some time now. CF were good in quickly responding to user feedback though there were a glitch or 2 that were unaddressed in the previous update, but with this quick fix that has come only few days after the last update, the issue regarding incorrect reading of call duration that I had reported a couple of months back has been fixed. Rating the app only 4 now, as I still feel Eloquence has to speak a bit louder. It still quieter in comparison to the Google TTS or eSpeak, and on phones with not so good volumes to start with, this is still a big issue.
5 ★If it wasn't for the Eloquence text-to-speech engine, I wouldn't be flying around on my Nexus 5 like I do on a daily basis.
5 ★I love eloquence, thanks for it. My opinion? The best TTS in the world.
5 ★Very solid product.
4 ★one of the best out there and very configurable.
3 ★I must say, I would never imagine using any other TTS engine than this one. And that's saying something considering that coat factory has left a bad taste in my mouth from the past. The only reason that I am giving this a lower rating is because I feel that eloquence is a little bit too compressed. It sounds like a four or five over one ratio. An extremely fast attack and almost no release. The threshold is terrible. Weirdly, 16 K sounds even worse than the 11 case sample rate. You guys are so close!
