5 ★This app is the best text to speaking app of the many I've tried! It's customizable to your liking, with even floating button controls. Their tech support is AMAZING, supper responsive and very helpful! FEATURES: It highlights texts as it reads it aloud; you can rewind to previous sentence if you like; use multiple controls on lock screen; Controls are on bottom of screen easily accessible for 1 handed smart phone use; day and night mode; adjust voice speed and pitch; change voices, and more
4 ★This use to work. I use it to read aloud light novels. But it doesn't follow http redirects, so it keeps reading cloudflare security message. The cloudflare is annoying but there is a work around by the developer. The voice quality is one of the best. I love the fact that speech can be modified using regex - to skip those hidden text that you dont see on the website but is present in the text. Or if the tts can't quite get compound words, or asian to english pronounciation.
4 ★Love the app, even bought the licenses, but lately it's been randomly deleting the contents of articles. I'd be on an article, switch to a different one and come back, and it'd be gone. The title's still on the reading list, but either the content is gone or it won't load. If one article finishes and the corrupt article is next, it just stops at the end of the first article without loading the next. It "thinks" it already loaded the corrupt article, allowing me to "skip" to the next article.
5 ★Excellent app, it does what is supposed to do, I tested it with Pdf document and website article. You don't get interrupted while the app is reading, the only adds you get are when you open the app or you stop to change manually a page or adjust something else. The settings included how to move pages, up and down or right to left like a book. The app will continue reading page after page automatically until the end or until you pause it.
4 ★Only app I've found that will to read me simply by "shareing": emails, web pages, pdf's. Turns the whole internet into an audio book. List feature let's you add news articles or book chapters to hear later or as you browse. Great for drive time. Sometimes the reading is odd, and it's still unnatural sounding, but far and away it's the best I've found.
4 ★Recommend! Fantastic when the app is able to read the content. It does have some issues parsing webpages. The extraction algorithm isn't as sophisticated as say MS Edge or Samsung Browser's read modes. Rarely, some extracted pages fail to contain the entirety of the content, while others will include quite a bit of superfluous text normally hidden from view but present in the DOM. The ads are relatively unobtrusive. I support the author's attempt to reasonably monetize this great product.
4 ★Not a bad app. I just wish it had a night mode. I use it to read epub books at night and often just leave my phone on my desk. If a dark mode could be added. Also the sleep/shake sensitivity is difficult to get right. It will often pop and hide the sleep menu at the bottom of the screen shifting things around weird if the sensitivity is off. But it seems like I can't get the correct setting to actually shake versus it thinks it's being shaken when it's sitting on my nightstand.
4 ★L O V E this app! Only giving 4 stars 'cause my chosen voice & accent sometimes randomly switches back to Google American default for no reason; & sometimes it messes up the spacing when I import a Google Doc, which changes the pacing. But I'm an author & use it on long drives to read my manuscripts. Best way to edit a document? Listening to it read aloud! Voices are good & I love that you can change the pronunciation of some words. VERY useful. Will get premium soon as I get some extra ca$h!
3 ★Used to be quick and snappy. Seems like features have crept in and now this app is bloated and slow. Never loads and reads a site instantaneously as it used to. Often doesn't start reading automatically after you share a link to the app. Ads, ads, ads. You often can't resume play from your notification area if the app wants to throw another ad at you. Oh well. Beyond that, once it gets started it does a decent job. But it used to be 5 stars as a fledgling.
5 ★I love love love the app!! I upgraded so no ads, plus it has a few extra features for downloading & storing files. I use it for books, pages, webpages, onlinebooks and PDF files. It has multiple voice and language options. I can connect to other devices, car, bluetooth speaker or earbuds to continue listening after phone is asleep. I have not encountered any issue.
5 ★I love using this app and it should be standard on all devices. There is one bug. After ending/stopping play & closing the app, the data file sent to my car audio system thru bluetooth remains and will begin playing. Example; after ending play and closing the app, if I get a phone call, the audio file will begin playing once the phone call ends. The phone system log indicates the app is not running, yet the audio is playing through Bluetooth. This could be a security vonurability.
4 ★By far my most used app. Easy to use and navigate. I ended up purchasing the paid version since I certainly use it enough to warrant paying for it. My only feedback would be that sometimes when opening a PDF file it opens to the middle or end of the document instead of the beginning. Also, recently, it sometimes starts on its own after being paused. Hopefully they fix that soon. Definitely recommend!
