Description

Vocalizer is an embedded TTS engine that provides expressive and natural sounding voices in over 50 languages.

Vocalizer enriches the user experience for a variety of applications on your device such as GPS navigation, E-Book reading and assistive software.

*** IMPORTANT NOTE ***
- Each voice can be purchased through a simple In-App purchase process. App includes a 7 days trial to test voices.
- Recent Google apps updates force using their own voices. GPS apps (maps) or the AI assistant, ignore text-to-speech settings, only allowing Google TTS. This decision from Google has been strongly discouraged by the Android community but as for now, we cannot ensure compatibility for this apps. As an alternative, you can use Vocalizer voices on other GPS apps like "Navigator" or "Sygic", that are compatible with Google Speech APIs.

Some of the features of Vocalizer include:

- Support for over 120 voices in over 50 different languages.
- Emoji support
- Easy customization of pronunciation through a user dictionary.

- And many more!

Once the application is installed on your device, you can make Vocalizer your default Text-to-Speech engine by going to Settings > (System) > Language & input > (Advance) > Text-to-Speech output, and checking “Vocalizer TTS" as your default/preferred engine.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★The voices provided are great and worth the money. I'm not a fan of the voices provided by Google on my Pixel 2 XL, and the purchased "Oliver" UK English voice seemed perfect for my needs. Reading a sample piece of text works just fine, but after it hits punctuation it comes to a complete halt. The engine is not suitable for reading books. I'd love to see this fixed in the future.
3 ★I love the app, really, and have purchased the voice I like most, and I use it daily. But suddenly the app is updating by itself (Google auto update off). Please don't force unwanted update. It's a waste on data and phone space, plus nobody likes to be forced to do anything. Thank you. Update: I just realized that since the forced update, the TTS stopped on its own so many times (yes, already whitelisted). See why I choose to not update what's already good? Please fix it, asap.
1 ★$4 to use a voice? Why?? That's way too pointlessly expensive just to get a single voice.
3 ★I can't give it higher (or lower) because the trial voices won't even download. I was only able to listen to the 10 second test phrases, so I can't say it's better or worse than that. My problem is that I chose to download the Allison (US English) voice, and I had the option to do either the 48 MB Pro version or the 16 or 18 MB normal version. No matter which one I chose, the progress bar would start, but it never started. I even let it sit for half an hour, and it still wasn't complete. Maybe that's why the app has a low average rating?
2 ★As long as you only need English, it's passable. Other languages though are just unusable. Considering the source possibilities nowadays I call products like this "somewhere in the alpha stage ".
1 ★Unstable implementation. You have too much focus on your DRM and less focus on your customer experience. And your DRM doesn't even work reliably. I couldn't even get the trial voice to begin loading. Stuck at 0% and when I attempted to redownload the trial, the only option left to me is to purchase the voice instead. Oh and deleting the trial voices in the 'settings' accomplished nothing. Thanks for literally nothing...
3 ★These voices sound pretty good and I think they are totally worth the money. However, you are supposed to get a 7-Day free trial with the voices. I downloaded the trial voices yesterday and I'm already getting a please register vocalizer TTS constantly instead of hearing my ebook. It's difficult for me to judge the quality of the voices because I've only had about 10 minutes to use them.
3 ★I like how the voices sound, but although the app itself is free you must buy the voices. I'm low on funds so I'm sorry but I can't spare the change. If I could I would, but no.
5 ★I'm here to set the record straight as I can't understand all the negative ratings. Yes, u get a 1 week trial. Yes, you have to pay a small fee after the trial period if you want to continue using the voice (I think it's $4 per voice). That price is totally reasonable for voices that are very high quality. The devs need to earn a living like everybody else, and they deserve to be compensated for their hard work. How would u like it if you had to work for free?
1 ★I am just kind of wondering if the 2.9 star rating that this app is getting is totally, and completely baseless, or, there are some truth into it. So, i gave it a try! The very first thing that i did is I install the main vocalizer tts app from the play store. And from its own user interface, i then downloaded all 10 trial high quality U.S. english voices. And from then onwards as you may have already guessed it so very accurately, I, 'started a joke'? Or, started to experience all the problems.
5 ★It could be better if it had a permanent license that didn't need to be updated every few weeks.
1 ★Terrible app. I was forced to purchase a voice I have previously bought as it just dissapeared off my phone after the update. Now not only can I not refund the purchase, but the voice wont even download. So I am sitting with no voice and a loss of money. I am very unhappy about the situation as I liked the app.
