The Our High River app is a smartphone-based tool for alerting groups, rallying teams, and informing communities.The app provides updates on town events, community projects, and key information for surge and spontaneous volunteers.
Our High River aims to enhance community capacity – and therefore resilience – by providing a communication system that High River’s community leaders can use all of the time and in crisis situations.
The app was made possible by Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC), through the Build in Canada Innovation Program (BCIP). BCIP is an initiative to promote Canada’s economic growth and to bolster innovation in Canada’s business sector.

What's new in version 2.7.1
Thank you for installing the latest version of the Our High River mobile app. In this version we have:- Squashed some bugs
- Added some stability improvements
- Added support for volunteer task matching and targeting by organization affiliation
Additional Permissions
Some of the new functionality requires additional permissions - to the phone dialler, to the camera, to the local storage. We only access through your direct interaction to upload selected photos or dial phone numbers.
