2 ★None of the slingplayer apps support Android Multi Window mode (I.e. multitasking with two apps side by side). The app can be put into multi window mode beside another app, but slingplayer immediately disconnects when you interact with the second app (I.e. when slingplayer loses focus). Also, I'd like a way to limit bandwidth over WiFi like you can already do for mobile data (so that when I'm connected to a mobile hotspot over WiFi, I.e. tethering, I don't burn through data as fast).
1 ★I bought this to use with Chromecast, and it doesn't work. I tried using their terrible FAQs but clearly the problem is with this app. A quick search will show that this problem exists for a vast majority of users.
3 ★They stopped making sling box so enough said. Those of us who bought six of them I guess will just get screwed. Can't find new ones since DISH sold them off cheap. Just another reason I don't have Dish but instead DirecTV.
3 ★Love using this app to chromecast to my TV. It can work near flawlessly (besides struggling to find the Chromecast) for days and then all of the sudden brick itself. On multiple occasions I've spent an hour attempting to cast without success. It'll fail to find a chromecast on my network, fail to load onto the chromecast, and then run into an unable to stream error. The next day it'll be fine again.
3 ★Used this app for years on my Samsung Galaxy S4 and it was mostly reliable with just a few exceptions when trying to watch overseas. But with the Galaxy S7, this app intermittently flashes a green screen color during video, especially when using the menus. It also rebuffers the video WAY more frequently, causing gaps in playback. I thought Slingbox would get working on these new S7 issues but it's now been 4 months and no updates. It's really starting to get annoying.
2 ★Does as advertised. Just wish screen controls approximated the actual remote control so I can do dvr functions. Important when playing back dvr./on S-5 worked ok/on new S-7 keeps cutting out and showing green screen every couple minutes. Hard to watch anything!
4 ★I had to purchase $80 COMPONENT to HDMI converter, after upgrading Xfinity box. This was not easy, only one company makes the correct converter for slingbox. The remote does not work on my Galaxy 6. I own Sb500 device. Fix remote please and update your technology to move away from Component cables.
1 ★3/26/17 update: i have 3 different chromecasts in my house. The free app nor the paid app finds any of them. What a joke. Soooo what happened to the ability to cast to chromecast? This is ridiculous. App is a joke. All the other video apps i use (hbo go, foxsports, netflix, youtube) all have no problem finding any of my chromecasts immediately. This app never will connect.
5 ★Update resulted in loss of vol control of TWC Sci Atl DVR cable box. Vol control of Android device itself w/in app is useless. Otherwise, nice app..

1 ★Updates are slow, when the app works it's great but since upgrading to S7 Edge the app no longer works again. Streams fine for about a minute and then just freezes. Please update the app quicker. I could have really done with this working this week. Customer support is terrible, worst I've seen from any tech company.
1 ★It's insanely frustrating trying to connect to Chromecast. The cast icon only shows up on the SlingPlayer app maybe 10% of the time. It works great once I can get connected.
