1 ★Camera suddenly stops working, not only with this app but with all apps. Camera opens to a black screen and then says it stopped working and closes. Checked for solutions and the only option is to replace the phone. So that's screen burn in, a non working camera, stupid slow hiccups and freezes amongst other problems.. hint: don't buy a Google pixel phone.
1 ★Camera app stopped working last week on my Pixel 2. From looking online, this has also recently happened to thousands upon thousands of other people. This appears to be a software bug, or hardware failure brought on by a software bug. There is no solution. And all we get is crickets from Google with employees offering BS solutions that do not and will not work. BOOOOOO!!!!! All of this is unacceptable for a costly, less than 3 year old device. Shame on Google for doing absolutely nothing. :(
1 ★App stopped working since last 2 months. I am tired waiting for your reply for why this is happening with so much users. I thought only old pixel devices are affected. But i can see in reviews that new devices are also affected. This is serious. If new devices sre affecting, then i will think twice before purchasing next pixel device. Fun fact, i am able to get the camera app open by placing a tiny magnet on a camera lense and then open an app. And it works. Sometime it loses autofocus.
1 ★Experiencing complete camera failure (front-facing and rear cameras, flashlight, everything camera-related) on Pixel 2 as of mid-May. Problem seems to be the same as many other reviewers. I have contacted support and done everything they suggested, including a factory reset, with no change. Phone works well otherwise and issue seemed to occur without cause. I would appreciate Google addressing this issue to restore my confidence in purchasing another Pixel!
1 ★The worst camera algorithms ever seen. You guys just went too much to be different that your videos and photos look so damn grainy. The worst video call experience in pixel 4a. So much grains in even slight low light. Why do you want to show grains in your low light videos and photos, can't it be given a smoother touch. What's the fancy.
1 ★Rear camera (Pixel 2 XL) stopped working a few weeks ago. I spoke with Google several time, did a factory reset, even took it in to get repaired and nothing can be done. Sometimes with a phone reset I can use it but it is not consistent or reliable especially when the camera should always work. I use my camera all the time and now I have to consider getting a new phone that won't be a Pixel
1 ★Recent update caused front camera to stop working entirely. FIX IT!! Update: after several chats with Google, there is still no resolution and they don't seem to care, frankly. I have a mountaineering trip coming up where I expected to use my Pixel 2 for taking pictures, music, email but with a worthless camera I now will be taking my work phone instead, an iPhone 8. Really disappointing, especially considering the camera is supposed to be Google's biggest selling feature.
1 ★Pixel 2 owner - everything was fine until the last week of May, and then suddenly my rear camera stopped working. I know the phone is a bit old at this point, but judging by the amount of others experiencing the exact same issue at the same time, you have to assume it's a software issue that Google cannot locate and/or rectify. Very disappointing - it makes me nervous to buy any more Pixel models going forward.
1 ★My camera automatically crashed whenever I open it. Google Pixel 2 xl camera known for its best camera system now has hit axe on their own feet. I have tried every bit of option by downgrading from Android 11 to android 10. Installing other camera.apk ,but to no avail. So frustrating that it is limiting me from doing various activities and in this middle of lockdown. Arrrggghhh.

I took almost half a day to setup my phone and I really don't want to wast my time now. Google, are you working on fixing the issue as I see that there are folks reported the similar issues recently. 1 ★Camera on Pixel phones is an ongoing issue that Google refuses to acknowledge or fix. They're claiming it's a hardware issue, but we all know it's software related. Just like another user, my camera suddenly started working for 4 days, but is back to a black screen and crashing. It's a shame because I LOVED my Pixel, and would have purchased another, but definitely not after this awful experience. Shame on you Google. We were loyal customers but these reviews show how many you'll be losing.
1 ★Software update broke camera. I've boasted for years about the camera only for it to just stop working. Fix the issue. So many complaints in the app store.........still same issue months later with no fix from Google. Once in a while I can get one picture from the back camera so I know it's not broken.......still same Jan- June 2nd
