Ansel Adams dedicates the beginning of his first book "Taos Pueblo" to visualization. He introduced the idea of "previsualization", which involved the photographer imagining what he wanted his final print to look like before he even took the shot. Of course, there are many great photos which were taken impromptu. However, for landscape photographers, being able to previsualize the scene before going there will greatly reduce the chance of being caught unprepared and will greatly increase the chance of getting better shots.

3 ★Good app, but a caveat for those wanting to use it in South Korea. The satellite layer has extremely poor resolution compared to other countries (this is a Google Maps issue in Korea).
2 ★App still crashing every time I use it as I have an older Android Motorola Z4. Great app when it works, but it's been crashing on my phone for the past 3 weeks. Hope it can be fixed soon...
1 ★Paid for the 3d model and it blocked me 3 hours in. Didn't even use it for the month.
5 ★100% my go to app for astrophotography planning. Best Features: VR mode - preview MW with terrain data. Takes the guess work out of remote scouting. Dark Sky mode great to have this in app and not have to look at another source for this information. There is another app out there that always seem to get recommended... I have it too and srsly ... get Planit Pro instead.
1 ★App got much worse, you have to pay continuously for features that were free (GREEDY) , live view was moved to a different app for no reason and that app doesn't support devices that are supported by plantit. I will search for previous versions

5 ★Simply the best photo planning app. The amount of data and utility it offers for the price is unmatched. I use it every year to plan out milky way photos and that's only like 1/20th of the features it has. Once you get a hang of the UI it's a breeze. Highly recommended.
