5 ★Great app for photo cloud storage. I had so many photos and videos i used every single program's free version and still couldnt fit half my stuff so i broke down to paying for a cloud storage for this stuff, and ever since i havent felt more secure about my photos in almost... Ever really! Great work Amazon/Jeff Bezos
5 ★Beautiful pictures in photo books. These make wonderful gifts,especially for family members who are in long term care facilities. You can put dialog describing the photo which helps them revisit that particular time. I get these for my mother who has dementia. She truly enjoys and cherishes each one. Of course they're great as personal photo albums also. Less chance for cherished photos getting lost... Much better than "old school" photo albums!!
3 ★It's a slow process for downloading and uploading pictures into your app for storage. Why is it so hard for your customers to have an extension for extra data storage and we have to purchase a PLAN? You know that most people can't afford to pay for your subscriptions. What's going to transpire about this in the House and Assembly for where you are established at?
4 ★Have found Amazon Photos generally easy to use. It works in the background storing pictures I have taken with the camera. I have thousands of photos stored in One Drive and so far I have not been able to transfer them easily.
1 ★Ran app on 3 different top of the line phones. Same problem, some of my picture folders are detected but the images inside aren't and can't be uploaded, specially folders containing RAW files. This app used to work great about 2 years ago. Customer support is a joke, they advise to update system, app, restart phone, reinstall app and erase cache, all very basic steps but no real solutions. When they don't know what to advise they just say I'm sorry and disconnect the chat.
1 ★App is just awfully buggy and badly written. Whenever a photo upload starts, it freezes half way without finishing the task and I have to manually force it to stop. Annoyingly it also shares daily reminders of memories from years back, but the algorithm for selecting photos just picks up the worst junk almost as if it's on purpose. Overall the app feels like a cheap knock off of other photo apps on the market.
5 ★My favourite part of this app is how it shows you all the photos on this day from past years. Makes me feel like I can really enjoy the hundreds, who am I kidding, thousands of photos that I have! Definitely recommend to everyone:)
4 ★Great app, stopped syncing. Some time after 5/16, all photos on my Android S9 stopped auto saving. All the basic troubleshooting steps have been accomplished. Think i read another person had similar/same issue but she didn't describe the fix. Other than clear cache, unistall, check that content is within limits and guidelines, checking settings (tried only cellular, tried only wifi, etc.), any other steps to try?
2 ★Came here to try and replace google photos but the app consistently fails at doing the one thing I NEED it to do and that's backup photos to the cloud. It's been trying to upload like 400MBs for like 5 days now on WIFI! Not sure how it functions so poorly. Have almost no control in viewing what's successfully backed up and what's failing or why.
5 ★I started using Amazon Photos in 2011 and I have my phone set to automatically upload my photos to the cloud. It's so nice to have the last 10 years of photos available to see or download any time! It's best to set up automatic uploading so you don't lose your photos when you change phones.
1 ★After a long absence, I have prime again and wanted to access this app. However, it will not run. I've tried reinstalling, by opening the app in every possibly way leads to nothing visibly happening. I'm using Android 11 on a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G.
5 ★Top upload and download speeds period. I upload bi-weekly and have a 3 year old whom I enjoy diligently recording her exsistance. So when I upload it's a batch between 25 to 200gbs. On One Drive it sometimes takes hours to upload photos. Google photos is pretty quick on the upload but downloading is a 1/4 as fast as Amazon. Batch uploads to Amazon take less than 2 hours and in most cases less than 10mins. It's a good service.
