2 ★For the amount of money this costs it's a bit shocking in this day and age we have to put up with buggy software. Concept is great and the hw is also great but it is executed badly. When you listen to a song then answer a call you cannot have access back to your song's, you have to disconnect then connect again.....Really.....But when it works it's pretty good and is a good companion for the ultra which in itself has more bugs than starship trooper.
4 ★I've connected this to my Xperia Z&Z3+ and it gives great control of the media on the device (Music, Audible & video players), plus can read texts which is SUPERB when you're driving, but why is it missing voice control? The display shows information of what's happening on the phone, meaning I can leave the phone in my pocket when a call comes in. Overall, this app improves the usability of the headset, although it does need additional functionality for voice control - I'd like to add a little suggestion for this, when the SBH52 isn't connected, get rid of the Notification... I use the SBH at work & another set of bluetooth headphones when travelling, but the phone always "complains" that the headset isn't connected!
3 ★I bought it yesterday after saw some review, paired my sbh52 with Samsung GS5. It worked. I tested the media and phone call. But finally I found that the connection always lost within certain time. The indicator is still there, "connected to phone audio" but it does not work, there is no actual connection. It will be normal if it is "connected to phone audio and media". When connection lost, I have to restart my sbh52 to make it normal again, and I have to restart my phone very often in a day. Please help.
1 ★The frequent disconnections were bad enough. Now, it's taken another step closer to becoming total and complete garbage. The recent Kitkat update has rendered text-to-speech useless. The volume is barely audible no matter what the settings are. Keeping in mind that the software and both devices are made by Sony makes it all the more astonishing. It's hardly surprising then that Samsung and Apple rule the world. Lol at 'defective product'. It's not. It's update related. Trust is irrelevant.
3 ★It automatically disconnect and sometimes8 reconnects itself otherwise u got restart the app or the Bluetooth headset. App hangs in between like it shows connected in Bluetooth headset but it is not for which again restart the Bluetooth device. I THINK IT IS TIME TO UPDATE and FIX THESE Bugs. Last update was on Jan 2014.
1 ★Worst £55 I have ever spent. Just doesn't work properly with Z Ultra. Says it is connected when it isn't, have to restart Bluetooth and SBH device. Also stops WiFi from scanning networks, have to restart Bluetooth for that too. Supposed to provide convenience but only serves to annoy. Please update device firmware and this app. No update since Jan is very poor.
1 ★I got this product along with my z ultra. Worked fine until the latest update for the z ultra. Not it acts as a remote for my music but the music only plays out of the phone and at a lower volume. Messages and calls still works. Sony. Please fix this issue. The sbh52 is expensive and branded to work with the z ultra. Come on already.
1 ★Accidentally turned on this setting and now cannot turn it off. Can't announce phone number properly. Finally it hangs frequently and got to reboot to get it working or suffer miss calls plus notifications. Also sbh always disconnect itself from Z ultra and the only way to reconnect is to restart sbh.
1 ★EDIT: Sony your software sucks!............. read all these reviews! - My Sony Z1s would disconnect intermittently during call or music. It is not the Bluetooth stack, it is this program. I am now using a LG G3 and got the same results with program. I uninstalled the program and paired directly, still disconnects but not as often. Sony really needs to improve their software to the level of their products!
1 ★Even though it is sold as a perfect accessory for the Z series of Sony phones and Tablets.... It drops bluetooth connections, and disconnects the wifi, so you have a choice, connected to your device and unable to get notifications or disconnected and unable to get notification. Fortunately this isn't limited to the Sbh52.. It is the same for the Smartwatch 2! So until Sony fix the issue with thr ltest update to 4.3, don't purchase!
4 ★While the description mentions Sony's Smart Connect App it's not entirely clear that it's required to use this app extension. Once I figured that out, it works like a champ. I like the added functionality available via the other app extensions. I now really dig my new Bluetooth headset & the software Sony made for it.
1 ★Before the update I connected my z ultra and viao laptop with this. now I can't connect both moreover, even the settings is disabled! !!! We are paying equallent to any low end android phone which give all the features and if its not working as it stated. Why we need this. Stop cheating ppl like this. And I need my money back.
