Description
台灣肝臟學術文教基金會介紹成立歷史：
有鑑於肝病猖獗，高雄醫學院於1985年正式成立肝膽胰內科，並由張文宇教授擔任主任，一直積極從事肝病的研究及拓展肝病的防治工作，為台灣消化系醫學界之創舉。
張文宇教授並於1999年號召社會賢達成立「台灣肝臟學術文教基金會」，這幾年來一方面致力於走進社會，服務基層，加強宣導預防重於治療的觀念，另一方面協助高雄醫學大學附設醫院肝膽胰內科的團隊進行更深入之肝病研究。
使命：
1. 提供及教育病患與大眾有關肝臟疾病之認識，治療及防治之宣傳。
2. 提供肝臟疾病篩檢服務，主動關懷基層社區與弱勢族群。
3. 鼓勵及培育國內相關研究人員從事肝臟相關疾病之防治及研究工作。
4. 提供基層醫療院所與相關學術單位肝臟疾病知識的交流平台，以增進整體醫療水平。
