Description

Researchers at Monash University have developed a diet and corresponding app to assist in management of the gastrointestinal symptoms associated with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). The Monash University Low FODMAP diet works by restricting foods high in some carbohydrates called FODMAPs.

The app comes directly from the research team at Monash and includes the following:

- General information about the FODMAP diet and IBS.
- Easy to understand tutorials to guide you through the app and the 3-Step FODMAP diet.
- A Food Guide detailing the FODMAP content for hundreds of foods using a simple 'traffic light system'.
- A list of branded products that have been certified by Monash as low FODMAP.
- A collection of over 70 nutritious, low FODMAP recipes.
- Functions that allow you to create your own shopping list and add notes to individual foods
- A Diary that enables you to record food eaten, IBS symptoms, bowel habits and stress levels. The Diary will also guide you through step 2 of the diet - FODMAP reintroduction.
- The ability to adjust units of measurement (metric or imperial) and activate colour blindness assistance.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

2 ★None of the food that I see on here is remotely familiar to someone in the midwest. Most of what comes up for me is food they're trying to sell via delivery. I also paid $9 for it but I can't seem to locate how often that will be charged.
5 ★life saving
3 ★It would be helpful to have each of the groups with the foods that are in them. This way, I could look at the group I need to reintroduce and find the food in that group. Instead, I have to go through every food to find what group it's in.
5 ★fantastic app. can't do the diet without it
5 ★great app for low Fodmap diet
4 ★Has been really helpful in following a low fodmap diet & good to see alternatives such as the use of pickled garlic & garlic oil to replace garlic which I'm missing the most. However it can also be confusing especially on the lactose side. UK double cream is pure with no additives & there doesn't seem to be a comparison/equivalent. Most searches online suggest it's low fodmap as it contains very little lactose but it is not clear at all on the app
2 ★Disappointed that this app is recommended to UK users, I'm sure it's good for American and Australian users but rubbish for UK haven't heard of a single brand that's apparently in the UK. Found the whole thing a bit confusing and feel like the info i can use would be free online anyway. This should be heavily discounted to UK users, wasted my money.
5 ★Incredibly helpful and thorough. Doesn't always include local dishes but covers most base ingredients. Easy to use with tools for learning, maintaining and researching.
5 ★Feel great following the Fodmap diet and I love the app and cookbook.
5 ★Great resource
