그리고 그런 기대를 충족시켜주는 길들을 우리는 흔히 ‘명품 길’, 혹은 ‘명품 걷기 코스’라고 부릅니다.
전라북도는 전국의 어느 길 여행 코스에도 뒤지지 않는 다양한 명품 길들이 있습니다.
서해안을 따라 자연이 빚어낸 그윽한 풍경과 낙조를 감상할 수 있으며 한국을 대표하는 명산으로 꼽히는 지리산의 둘레를 걸어볼 수 있습니다. 단풍이 환상적인 내장산에서는 정읍사의 애틋한 가사 속, 여인이 남편을 기다리며 바라보았을 산길을 밟아볼 수도 있지요.
명창이 득음을 하기 위해 자연과 싸웠던 폭포를 따라 산을 오를 수 있으며 끝이 보이지 않는 드넓은 평야와 간척지 사이를 걸으며 바람의 노래를 들을 수 있습니다.
섬진강과 금강 등을 따라 걷는 강변의 아름다움과 피어나는 물안개 속 호수의 풍경을 느끼고 국제적 가치를 인정받은 습지의 생태 속으로 들어갈 수 있습니다.
이렇듯 다양한 전북의 명품 길 중에서도 특히 아름다운 풍경과 역사적 가치, 이야기가 있는 길을 엄선하여 14개 시,군마다 3~4개의 명품 걷기여행 길을 선정하였습니다. 그리고 그렇게 선정된 길들을 로 명명하였습니다. 전북1000리길이라고 표시하기도 합니다.
각 길들은 해안길, 강변길, 산들길, 호수길로 구분되어져 있으며 짧게는 두, 세 시간에서 길게는 대여섯 시간을 걸으며 전라북도가 가진 다양한 매력을 느낄 수 있습니다.
이제 전라북도의 속을 걸어보세요. 전북1000리길에서는 우리가 알고 있던 모든 것을 넘어선 만남이 기다리고 있습니다. 그 어느 길이라도 우리가 바쁜 일상 속에서 쉽게 보지 못했던 풍경과 이야기를 담고 있습니다. 그리고 그렇게 원했던 쉼과 힐링의 시간을 즐길 수 있을 것입니다.
