Strengthening the connection between police and communities to maximise the safety and security of all citizens.Unity is a three-year EU Horizon 2020 funded project under FCT-14: Enhancing cooperation between law enforcement agencies and citizens – Community Policing. Unity is coordinated by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for West Yorkshire carried out by the West Yorkshire for Innovation (WyFi) team.
Unity will create a new, community-centred approach to Community Policing through the delivery of three key objectives:
To capture best practices for cooperation between police and citizens.
To develop a communications technology to facilitate, strengthen and accelerate the communication between citizens and police
To design, develop and deliver training for LEAs and awareness raising activities about Community Policing
