4 ★This app is great for PlayStation users. However Sony a lot of the time does things that do not make sense to me. For instance they just came out with Sony picture core, it does not seem to grab your movies that you have already purchased on the Play store, it does not appear to be able to be downloaded from anywhere, and none of the Sony content is linkable to movies anywhere or any other such apps. The movies on Sony picture core also seem to be more expensive than any other app.
2 ★Recent updates are terrible. And cant even scroll through an entire category(like new games) when I'm guessing a little of the ways down the list all the thumbnails/titles disappear and all that remains on screen are the prices. Makes no sense that happens on the store. The last thing a store should have is their product literally disappearing from the screen. Can't browse sales, new games or anything. Update: Now removing catagories. Making browsing more arduious. Now can't find "New Games"
4 ★The app has seen it's fair share of issues over the years. It was poor in the beginning & once they deleted the separate PS Messages app and merged it all into this app, but it's working smoothly now so it deserved an updated review. If there's anything I think the app would benefit from, it's a "mass delete" feature. It's something PlayStation has never really had and the ability to delete several people on PSN at once through the app would be very convenient. The process is slow as it is.
4 ★Loved the app in the past but lately the app has been lagging after I scroll down or wait on a page for a few minutes. The pages' images blank out and lags. This has made a pleasant and stress free experience to annoying and close to unusable. Would give the app a 4 or 5 stars otherwise but this lag is ruining the usability of the app. EDIT: lag issues seems to have been fixed and app has been working fine.
3 ★The app is good when I would rather use my phone for chat rooms, but nothing else on the app really works besides being able to see my game catalog. Usually I can't even view trophies, much less games to download. I'm sure my older phone is part of the issue, but the app just outright fails to work sometimes. I really have no reason to use it than for chat rooms or quick messages, because that's all that seem to work.
2 ★Honestly this app is so poorly optimized. It can take over 30 seconds after tapping any button for the app to respond and load. Trying to open your chats? 25 seconds of lag and then it drops down. Click on a specific group? 30 seconds of the chats tab being raised and then jumping into the group. Picture or video in the chat? You will ALWAYS miss the first 10-20 seconds of video as it always starts in the background, and at times won't even come to the forefront. Picturs take 30 seconds too.
2 ★Mediocre. Playstation's console store and app are middle of the road. They are slow and tedious to shop. The app has potential, and, sometimes, is good, but can be very slow and annoying to browse. They, also, have yet to add the ability to remove things from your wishlist that you've purchased. They just sit there taking up space in your very limited wishlist. Really hope they fix the apps shortcomings, because it does have potential.
5 ★I love this app, searching, buying, & downloading is gr8. This app needs an update. If I get two messages, if I Swipe/remove in notification drawer of a friend is online but select Wishlist sale, the app will open friend profile. Forever after that it, if I select any notification it open on that same friend's profile, doesn't matter if it's star campaign completion or another friend. After awhile messages won't work. Both this issues should be fix, I shouldn't have clear data every week.
1 ★No longer supports captures. Such a disappointment. It used to hold captures from your system for 14 days, but now it either doesn't upload them, or it's completely corrupted and doesn't play/download. (This is still an ongoing issue that has not been addressed as of 10/28/23. Good Job, PlayStation! 👏🏽👏🏽
1 ★This app used to actually run well until for some reason, yall decided to completely overhaul and ruin everything. The app BARELY runs. It takes literal minutes to load any single thing I tap and it takes even LONGER for images to appear. I have to sit and wait to click on an image only for it to be at 144p and take 30 business days to download. You all focused so much on the app looking nice that it barely functions whatsoever. And no, it's not my phone, every other app on my phone runs fine.
2 ★I shouldn't need to sign in to explore the store. I'll get notifications that a wishlist game is on sale. Or sometimes I'll click a store page link from YouTube etc. In either case, my user journey is to look at a games' store page. But I'm interrupted with unnecessary friction prompting me to log in. I honestly just close the app right there because I can't be bothered. If I could see the game first, and I like it, then I would be motivated to log in.
1 ★Doesn't allow me to enter chats most of the time. Just tells me something went wrong try again later. Won't allow me to access any of my games to remote download and is overly slow. Won't allow anyone to be in chat or use any other app like messenger or Facebook if sound comes from the app it will kick u automatically without a warning. Hardly ever updates to show friends online nor allow you to message them because something went wrong. Annoying app
