The CodeRED Mobile Alert app enables subscribers to receive these notifications directly to their personal cell phone whether at home, on the road, or traveling around the country. Helpful hints:

• Your app account and the account you create for your community’s CodeRED system are NOT associated with each other. You must create separate accounts.
• The CodeRED Mobile Alert app comes with a complimentary 30-day trial of CodeRED Enhanced Weather subscription that automatically alerts US-based subscribers of severe weather. The optional CodeRED Weather Warning add-on is an additional $0.99/year, but it is NOT required to receive emergency, general and missing person alerts.
• The app also features the ability to view local radar footage for the past hour and satellite imagery of the previous 24 hours.

1 ★*update 10/14/20* App continues to malfunction and not sending out alert notifications to my phone. Phone and app both are updated, and nothing else has changed since the first time I rated this app... It stopped sending me notifications when a warning was issued for my area. Checked all settings and nothing had changed since I first downloaded it.
2 ★I have it set for emergency alerts only and I still get every missing person alert. Usually this is just annoying however today we were experiencing severe weather and getting an alert for a missing child 200 miles from me was a little scary. My community had gone to this app and ceased using emergency sirens so this would be the only alert I get. Missing person alerts should be listed until missing persons not as emergencies.
3 ★Did give me a timely alert about the Camp Fire even though I was a hundred miles away. That was good. But my home was destroyed and I have moved to an area hundreds of miles away and i still get alerts for the burned down address and none for where i now live. Cannot update my address on mobile app and auto location doesn't seem to work.
1 ★No way to change the notification, just a voice saying " There is an alert in your area". I nearly drove off the road first time it went off. And it's always for something stupid, this morning (Saturday) at 7:30 it was road closures happening in 5 minutes because of a 5k.
1 ★Useless app. It works on ios but is broken on Android. Have to sign in every time you open the app, meaning you don't stay logged in when its closed. Because of this you will NEVER get a notification of any emergency. I just got a notification on my old iPhone but nothing on Android.
2 ★I live in Butte county. I know Chico and Paradise are subscribers. However my wifes phone who is signed into my account gets alerts and mine doesn't. We're sitting next to each other with the same proximity settings and alerts. I had this installed prior to the Camp Fire. Also the UX needs some serious work. Please do your best to QA from a customer perspective. It'll help your service alot if you have a proper QA team who works WITH your Dev team.
1 ★I recieved alerts for minor storms but when it mattered, when golf ball sized hail and tornado warnings were issued I got no notification. My settings were erased without notification and I had to remove and replace the app to even be able to log in. Weather Bug sent me several warnings.
2 ★Unfortunately, 2 stars. 2½ was not available. This app is good if you open it yourself. That is why I'm uninstalling, today. Not meant for volunteers doing the right thing. When it stays open like when it's on an Apple device, we can add the other 2½ stars. Thanks
1 ★Unreliable!!!! I've tried contacting them only to get the run around and them saying it was resolved when nothing was resolved. i dont get notifications anymore for severe weather even though i know we have it. This app and the customer service is a joke.
1 ★Is this a joke? Not funny!!! Wants ALL your info & permissions then never works, took 2 days to finally get it to work. My entire state is on fire, we want to know, cities all around are being evacuated for the last 2 days and despite having my exact address it is only showing alerts from a completely different state. Not up to date.
4 ★Works fine. Most of the negative reviews are written by idiots who don't understand how the app works. It depends on information sent from local emergency services and they have to participate in the app. The app doesn't just divine the information out of thin air. It's not magic.
1 ★I missed an alert on a missing senior with dementia in my community because the app keeps crashing, even with reinstall. I am so disappointed in this app that is supposed to help with critical information. I can get an alert when someone likes my social media posts, but not this?!
