3 ★UPDATED- Thank you for prompt reply! Seems to better! But map colors were changed. It's hard to determine which is land vs weather. If that makes sense? It's too light green now for land. I have had this app for years. Love it! Easy to use, they're always trying to improve & always give excellent update instructions. Highly recommend!!!
3 ★I have liked this app for years, but for several months it has randomly changed the map view from Google Maps, which I prefer, to Mapbox which I don't like. The only way to fix this was to uninstall then reinstall the app, then recreate all my map locations & card settings every time. Lately, the 10 day weather descriptions have a lot less detail than they did before. I have to go to the NOAA website for local weather details. I may not bother reinstalling next time.
1 ★New update isn't good. It no longer shows my local temperature but instead shows the temperature for Nicollet Mississippi. Also on a lot of the different settings for the map it shows incorrect date and time errors. Please bring back the much loved older version of this app. PS fire the team that did the update they don't know what the hell they were doing. PSS if this is not changed back to the old way it was I guess I'll go looking for another app even though I dearly loved the WeatherBug app.
1 ★The ads keep coming back, after every release and there's no way to save/load my configurations. If the app wasn't so good I'd stop. buying it. But I'm giving it a lousy review because they can't fix their install process. I'd sent them an email several times, their response was always to say "reinstall", which basically blames Android. Here in 2023, it's still doing this, which is a real pain since there's no way to save/load the configuration.
1 ★I used to use Accuweather so I could view radar globally to see what was headed my way - till they took away the temp in the notification bar. Now, I'm switching back, 'cuz this app shows cities globally, but won't show current weather via radar globally. Having that happen with just one city was a bit annoying - having it happen with every single one's unacceptable. And the new map style when viewing radar annoys me on top of it, too.
4 ★It's a great app, especially if you prefer a widget on your home screen to quickly glance at the weather. I just wish one of the widget options was like the weather channel widget where you can set it to show the next 6 hours of weather rather than the next 6 days. Then it would be perfect.
3 ★The most recent reviews are correct. The new map view sucks something awful. In addition, on the location homepage the radar data preview is not showing any precipitation like it used to which was rather convenient. The latter is most likely just a bug that needs to be fixed. But, still...too much going wrong
3 ★Downgraded to three stars since last update. Maps are terrible in my opinion. Before update was great. Weather Bug is always on top of the weather in my area! I know I can depend on the daily and weekly forecasts!! Love the pollen alerts, also! Good app to have.
3 ★Used this app for years, it's always been my favorite. But currently it has a bug or some issue that is giving me the wrong forecast. It seems to get stuck in other areas I've looked at. My home town is high in the 50s but it's telling me 70s and 80s! I've tried clearing cache, uninstalling/reinstall but still is doing it.
3 ★Just stopped working.Went to your Facebook page and found out how to fix the problem. I needed to empty the cashe. I then uninstalled, reinstalled and restarted my phone. I do not know which move fixed it. However, thank you. This is the only weather program that lets me save locations as well as see radar from current location easily. I hate the incremental zoom so I am lowering my rating.
3 ★Dec 6, 2023 When I open the weatherbug app on my android phone the small map on the opening screen does not update. When I open the "Maps" page I can pinch to zoome but it may not work at or well. Nov 18, 2023 review update. Latest update is a step back. Can't pinch zoom the map. Small map not updating. Previous review... I don't like weather apps that offer scrolling to see all of the information (radar, forecast, etc.). I like this app because I can click on the map from he home screen.
2 ★And now they changed the stupid map for radar, don't know why, don't know what was wrong with the old one. Guess their mantra is, if it ain't broke, fix it until it is!! And the stupid app goes back and forth between the old map and new one, although it's currently on the new one, which sucks. I mean, what are they thinking??? The old map was so much easier to use and the view was much better. Mapbox, or whatever the heck it is, is not nearly as user friendly. But you do you WeatherBug!! Dopes.
