Description

Open-source SSH and telnet client with SCP file transfer. Based on original ConnectBot.

Feature enhancements:
- background file transfer (SCP protocol)
- character picker dialog (on-screen button and hardware SYM key)
- single line input (on-screen button)
- tap and hold menu (switch to fullscreen mode, change font size)
- save SSH keys as files
- save console screenshots (PNG format)

VX ConnectBot provides additional customization for smartphones with a physical keyboard.

How to install VX ConnectBot APK on Android phone or tablet?

Download VX ConnectBot APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:

Update Phone Settings

Go to your phone Settings page
Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)

Confirm with OK

4 ★Is a good app but need solve in a better way the arrows key emulation, long press on screen is not a good way and the window appear in the middle of screen covering the command line.

5 ★I love to use a physical hardware keyboard when I use SSH. Connectbot couldn't do that, especially control keys. VX Connectbot does! I hightly recommend VXCB over regular CB.

5 ★This app though based on connect bot, blows it out of the water with all of the additonal features.

4 ★Best free app for file transfers I've found, but desperately needs to be able to transfer directories. Also, a public key upload helper would be lovely. All in all, great app.

5 ★Possibly lacks some fancy features but this simple SSH client always gets the job done when I need it. Easy to use. Maybe not for heavy SSH users with complex setups.

3 ★Good, but despite having enabled 'persistent connections', it disconnects as soon as I try to switch to another app.

3 ★worked great until the nougat update, now I have text/screen scrolling issues, text dissappearing/being overwritten when the keyboard is opened/closed, also force closures and general misbehavior if I switch to another app and back. also when editing files with nano text positions are being changed, the letters at the start of a line of text seemingly deleted, in which they are removed from view but if I close and open the file again they are still there. please fix this as this is my go to app when I'm on the move

3 ★But my question tot he Developer: How do you make money of this app? Am a bit suspicious of apps that handle passwords, which cost nothing *and* don't display adds, too.

5 ★Very useful to me and easy to use. Just a couple of feature requests: being able to select multiple files in the file transfer dialogue and some kind of file transfer progress indicator, maybe across the top of the screen or something?

4 ★I've been using this for years. Pretty good app. ESC & Cntl are inconvenient for someone who uses Emacs.

5 ★Only ssh client I've found the supports the sym key and special symbols like pipes, tildes, etc.

5 ★Loved this app Best ssh app I've used and has saved my a** quite a few times already! Just wish there were terminal font family and colour options. Still more than deserves 5 stars!
