楠山正雄の金太郎は
むかし、
金太郎という強い子供がありました。
相模国足柄山の山奥に生まれて、
おかあさんの山うばといっしょに
くらしていました。
金太郎は生まれた時から
それはそれは力が強くって、、
そんな出だしで金太郎の話は始まっています。
金太郎は童謡や童話だけの
人物かと思っていましたが
平安時代の末期に
実在してたようです。
幼名は坂田金時で足柄山の
山姥に育てられ
快童丸と呼ばれ
山中の動物たちを
手なずけて遊び怪力の
持ち主だったようです。
成長した金太郎は
当時、
最強の武将と言われた
源頼光と出会って
金時の名前を授かったそうです。
そして
都を荒らす鬼
酒呑童子一味を
退治する討伐隊に加っています。
金太郎や金時は
金太郎飴、宇治金時、
サラリーマン金太郎なども
そうですが
様々の名前がついています。
楠山正雄は東京の銀座で生まれています。
父親は印刷会社を経営していましたが
楠山正雄が生まれて間もなく死亡しています。
母親と再婚した相手の起した
不祥事から会社がつぶれて
苦しい生活に追い込まれたようです。
親戚の家を たらい回しにされるなど
厳しい少年時代を送っているようです。
幼少期時代に祖母に歌舞伎に連れて
行ってもらったことがきっかけで
演劇に関心を持ったようですね。
楠山 正雄は、日本の演劇評論家、編集者、
児童文学者として大正時代から昭和の戦後初期に
かけて功績を残した人です。
楠山正雄は金太郎の他にも
様々な国の童話の翻訳などもしています。
