Description

The free Post Office GOV.UK Verify app enables you to upload your identity document(s) in order to verify yourself online. You can also use it as an authenticator app by generating the security codes required to log into your account.

Use the ‘Secure My Account’ option to set up two-factor authentication; this adds an extra layer of security to your account. Together with your username and password, you will be able to use this time-based security code to log in. It will not require an internet or phone connection to work. Once set up, the time-based security codes will be stored under ‘My Authenticators’.

The ‘Upload Documents’ option allows you to upload your identity documents during the verification process. You will be asked to take a photo of your document and also of yourself, using the camera on your device.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Terrible site, have spent hours going back and forth to DVLA but cant do anything without this registration. I can't understand why. Very frustrating. Worried that they asked for card details, mobile phone contracts etc. Very big brother!. Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. Would be good if someone bothered to respond to these reviews.
3 ★I have managed to get this to work. But the process is ridiculously complicated as I had to go back to to the website to set up the authenticator code section. Trying to hold open my passport and get the app to read it took ages. My phone is in a cover had to take that off to get the app to actually read the biometric chip - this could have been indicated at the outset, also if the app can read the chip in a closed passport why did it want to scan the inside?
1 ★Rubbish. Doesn't let you input the option if you don't have a smart chip in your passport
1 ★took forever to work, instructions were not clear.
5 ★Easy to use and understand
5 ★Really good app all easy and works from first time
5 ★Easy to use and convenient
3 ★Not an easy process. User needs warning of what will be involved. Laptop keyboard occupying knee (to dip in/out of P.O. website), phone in one hand (with cover getting in the way), document (passport) in other hand (& trying to get it to stay open/flat for scanning). And parts of app screen that pulsate, e.g. blue dot (press it? or is it drawing attention to something?) & a nodding blue shape of a person's head when scanning selfie (are you meant to move, or does it mean scan working?).
5 ★Really cool technology super easy to understand very fast
1 ★Uploaded photo ID and a picture of myself yet your website is still Unable to verify useless app
1 ★Very frustrating looks clear but no guide on plan b if doesn't read chip on passport on line chat tried to help took ages 2 hrs and PO verify web page didn't say that only PO qr reader will work. Not a good way to send the morning ans still not completed the whole process!!
1 ★Rubbish, first it scanned then wouldn't upload the documents. Then it wouldn't scan. Finally got the documents uploaded and the page wouldn't move on to the next bit to allow me to complete registration. Just heaping on more stress.
