Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Ugh.... I thought this was going to be a great app. I started listening to an audiobook then the app shut down. After several attempts I can not get the app functioning properly. I will stick with Libby.
1 ★This app is terrible. As others have stated, when playing an audiobook, it pauses at will and doesn't bookmark where it left off - but starts from the beginning.
1 ★App shuts down while I am listening to a book. When I reopen the app it has completely logged me out and the only solution is to uninstall and reinstall in order to access the books I've already downloaded. Very frustrating.
1 ★Terrible interface. Every time you open a book its automatically on full brightness, even if you lowered it last time. No setting to change the scroll direction. The smallest font is too big.
1 ★I'm glad this app exists conceptually, but it is without a doubt the worst app I've ever used. You're much better off thinking of it as a curious random collection of bugs than an app. It did let me read a few chapters on occasion, but only after hunting to find the one tiny (and variable) spot on the screen that registered as a page turn. And if you change the brightness, forget about it remembering what page you were on. So so terribly bad in every way. Why??
2 ★App needs significant work. Book reservation doesn't alert you when you're able to rent the book. Page flipping does not always work. When you are done with a book and try to return it, it processes it, then says operation could not be completed so you have to wait for your rental time to be up and app automatically removes it - which I can see having a negative affect on the reservations. Recommendations are just books written by the same author, not anything with similar genre or subject. I only gave it a 2nd star because it has books and there are essentially no other options.
1 ★The login button remained greyed out after entering my login credentials when I was asked to login to my library; However, I know my login credentials were correct since I had just logged into my library's website.
1 ★Resets the screen brightness to 100% every single time you leave a book or the app. Moves to the 1st page of a chapter when you switch to a different app but doesn't let you scroll; you have to go into the table of contents, find the chapter you're reading, and then scroll ahead to where you were. And it doesn't tell you how many pages are in the book. About a decade ago, i bought a remaindered no name tablet. It had a very basic/bad book reader program. It was head and shoulders above this.
4 ★This app has worked well enough for me to read a few ebooks on my Android device. One thing that would make this app better would be to allow users to personalize settings such as the screen brightness. Each time an ebook is opened the brightness is overwhelming. It does allow users to dim the brightness but it resets each time the app is closed. Other than that, I've enjoyed this app!
2 ★it used to work really well. Not sure what happened but no longer downloads anything. contacted support and the instructed to re-install. still does not work. Update: seems the app was updated, so now if a book isn't on hold I can get it, but whenever I open it, everything is blank. If a I try to reserve a book, I just get an error message. Really disappointed.
1 ★So glitchy. Constantly logs me out. Won't load my books. Won't download books half the time or makes me download them over and over again. And so much more. I wish NY Public library didn't use this app.
2 ★I'm only giving it an extra star because it's still a library's way of getting books to our finger tips! I love the library and I'm big advocate over checking out books versus buying them. Bottom line though, this app sucks! It crashes often! Books don't load! I am even having trouble "returning books". I don't know what happened as it was a quality app for reading on my device, but now it's not worth the frustrations it's causing.
