3 ★We've had a Deseret Bookshelf subscription since 2017. We used to love it! We could go on the Deseret website and add books to Bookshelf. We could go on the app and search for a or an author we wanted to read a book by. It was wonderful. Now I cannot add books from the website. When I search by author the app gives an error that there is no media available by this author. When I try to search for those authors books, nothing comes up. Also books in my library have vanished. It is so frustrating.
1 ★I really wanted to like this service. I was looking forward to listening to some of the "fireside" talks I used to listen to. Unfortunately, I only remember a couple of the titles and the search on this app is TERRIBLE. The organization of content is TERRIBLE. You can find something if you know the title or if it is highlighted on the main page of the app, but trying to look through all 3k+ audiobooks seems impossible. I decided to stop simply because we couldn't access the content we paid for!!
1 ★Pricing is so high for ordinary church members. Also, E-books price. We do not need the brochure mailed to us. It triggers pricing. A few years ago, one day, all the prices went up high - all of a sudden.
2 ★Great content...if you could actually find it. It's so annoying that when you search an author name 9 times out of 10 it will bring back an error "No Media Found for this Author". I get the same results when I do the search on the tab "Search All Deseret Book" and when I search on the tab "Search My Library". (I get these results even if I do in fact have 5 books by the author in my library.) It's been YEARS with this bug. When are the developers going to care about it? This is a big deal.
1 ★I use to love using this app. You can no longer search for books or things related to.the topics. What the heck happened? Fix it already!
2 ★I love the content. I know I will be reading clean, uplifting books. The search option does not do a lot. Most of the time it won't show books that I know are there somewhere. I even try search by author or a specific title. It won't even recognize books I recently read/listened to. The recently added books and recommendations are not kept up to date. I hope a fix is implemented soon because I love being able to listen to great books.
2 ★I also have issues searching topics. My biggest issue is that it keeps pausing randomly. I just want to listen to the book.

1 ★Now that they've redesigned the website to take away functionality to add to the library the app is useless. Search in the app is horrible. It hardly finds any books even if you search by specific title. I'm continually confused about why books that I know are in the program don't show up in a search.
1 ★I'm going back to Audible 1) Confusing: no section just for audiobooks - searching for author/title gets too many results (not just audiobooks, but regular books, different languages, or as mentioned by other authors) or no results (even though I've seen the books in their stores) 2) annoying: trying to sort out audiobook results from all other non related results gets frustrating 3) inconsistent sound: sound randomly gets louder/softer and/or switches from one earbud to the other.
