Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

4 ★A great idea incredibly well implemented. The only drawback is the regular "error communicating with the server" failures. Scanning a few hundred CD's with it failing every 2-3 CD's made the process much more painful than it should have been. If they could fix that the app would be perfect, as it is it's still a very good app and worth downloading.
5 ★This is just a fantastic app! It should have 5 stars, I love it. It is well designed, easy to use and scanning the ISBN numbers is such a breeze. I have some old books so there's probably about 10% of my books that don't have pictures but i thinks that's normal anyway. They are easily fixed if you want to go to the trouble and scan them and then upload. I use it all the time when i am out incase I double up on books and accidently buy the same book again. If you have under 5,000 books it's free to use too. I love the fact that you can make your own categories too. So easy to use. Great job guys, thank you! :)
3 ★Works fairly well, and I use it for my collection of books. But an issue that bothers me is the display of the book covers in the app. There ought to be an option to turn off the display of the book images in the app. Not only does downloading book cover images needlessly use up data, but the images do not display at all when there is no or slow network connectivity, instead showing the ugly 'graphic indicator' icon, which is rather off-putting.
3 ★What it has works great, but if you don't have a bar code, you're screwed. Anything without a bar code must be entered manually instead of being searchable, which is rather poor at this point. I can't add my steelbook of The Force Awakens, for instance, or my Game of Thrones seasons. If it does have it somewhere, I can't seem to find it. Update: I found the manual search, it simply doesn't work.
4 ★Easy to use and having the web interface makes management easy. 1 star off because it has a very hard time with all of my books in Spanish. It will scan the UPCs but then times out, and it looks like the title didn't load. But if I go to settings and sync, then go back to the library the title is there. I have a lot of Spanish books so unfortunately this bug slows me down considerably. If not for this, I'd give 5 stars.
4 ★excellent, except 2 things: 1. I wish there was a way to type in the ISBN number, and have the correct information pull up (for books without ISBN barcodes to scan, such as those missing book jackets, and those that are older, pre-barcode era)...and 2. For the manual entry, I wish there was a way to take a picture of the cover to include with the description.
3 ★I enjoy the Libib site, but the app is sorely lacking. I only use it to add physical copies of books that I can scan. Have a digital book you'd like to enter? You have to manually input everything because the app has no search feature for adding items if you can't scan it. There's no scroll bar in the libraries, so you either have to search or swipe down your whole list. There's no way to input the condition of your copy, only the number. And even if you edit this on the website, the app still only shows the number. I will say the scanner is spot on and quick, though.
2 ★Libib correctly recognizes my books about 3/4 of the time. Fair. I paid for the Pro version, only to discover that the "batch edit" option does NOT allow you to search for a keyword and then select all results (yes, it needs to be more like itunes). Because of this fault, I can't search for "Spanish" & then edit all the books tagged as spanish in the results. Instead, I have to go through my entire library and manually select all titles I recognize to be in spsnish in order to edit or move them
5 ★UPDATE: I spoke too soon. Sorry. When I logged into my Libib account online I could see the options to add cover photos and the price. Is there a way to export the data (eg: to Excel or Access)? Or, print a report to PDF? How can I tell the total value of my collection? ------ Good apparently, but disappointed I can't add cover pictures for the books I add manually. Also would like to see a purchase price field with the book info.
5 ★I use it to catalogue my manga and kpop albums. Easy to use and keep track so I dont buy duplicates.
5 ★Fantastic tool for getting organized and stopping the duplicates!
3 ★I love the idea of this app but I've noticed that many of my books must be manually entered because their info upon scanning is incorrect. Several have come up with the same title which I do not own. Harry Potter books (paperback editions printed in the US in the late 2000s) have this issue as well as more recently published novels. There doesn't seem to be a common denominator amongst those that won't scan or scan with the wrong info. Manual entry is rather tedious. I was hoping for an update that would save me from needing to manually enter so many titles but nothing yet. :(
